Description
The SMOM New Rhodes was named for the island of Rhodes, where the Knights Hospitaller first held a long-term rule. Originally a decommissioned US Navy Nimitz-class aircraft carrier repurposed as a mobile city, the New Rhodes has been further modified, refitted, and improved for this purpose over decades with the help of other corporations.
The modern-day New Rhodes is a mobile arcology. While it possesses military capabilities, its primary purpose is to house the headquarters and main facilities of the Order of Knights Hospitaller. It generally only docks for large-scale supply transfers or refits scheduled with major yards. Otherwise, it remains in international waters while sending smaller vessels or aircraft to interact with areas on land.
