Summary

Questioned the people. Were informed about the guy. Ask questions of the others on the list. Get pointed to various different bars, but the pushers are usually human men wearing the Yoshinaga pins. People selling in Yoshinaga territory bars passed on using the pins. The team heads into one of the bars to take an investigation. Trauma plays the role of the mark in order to get targeted. They approach the bartender to dig for information before hitting the dance floor. Trauma tries to lure them onto the dance floor. Drug dealer tries his luck by offering Trauma tainted drugs to take them out. Trauma doesn't take the bait. Team follows them back to parking garage. Trauma terrorizes the pusher who sings like a canary. Team hand him over to Yoshinaga to dispose of. Follow up at the mechanics shop where the drugs are stored. People get taken out by grenades, martial arts and clubs. Team skedaddles after detonating the drugs with the mafia man in tow.

Background

With the Finnigans making a power play to undermine the Yoshinaga-Gumi in Bellevue, Yoshinaga Chikara quickly calls in a team of runners to locate the source of the mixed drugs and destroy whatever had already been brought into the district.

The Meet

Akuma receives an urgent call from Chikara calling her back to Bellevue to handle a spate of drug overdoses that have started turning up in and around their territory in Bellevue. Haruki Uchida sends a call to Trauma reporting that he's gotten a request from someone that he's connected with requesting a runner for urgent business. Fiendest contacts Pasiphae saying that she's found someone looking for a job who isn't going to ask too many questions if an infected shows up since they're in the middle of a time crunch. Once the team makes their way to a suburban house in Bellevue, they're let inside by a brusque member of the Yoshinaga syndicate. They lead the team upstairs to an office where Yoshinaga Chikara is waiting for them. The job is simple: Dealers have been impersonating the Yoshinaga and selling dangerous mixes of drugs that have been causing overdoses and he wants the runners to seek and destroy whatever stockpile of drugs they might have in Bellevue. He also adds that he'll pay out a bonus if they capture someone who seems to be in charge of this operation.
Akuma pushes a strong negotiation, and is able to wring an extra 1400 nuyen out of her boss before the team accepts the job.

The Plan

Chikara provides the runners with a list of people who survived their overdoses at a nearby hospital and provides Trauma a location to stash her crime accessories. The team makes their way through public transport to the hospital and begin questioning the survivors. They're pointed to various different clubs and potential dealers, but one stands out. A human man with a mohawk at the Dreamer's Den who was wearing a counterfeit Yoshinaga pin. The team quickly determines that they're going to masquerade as Trauma's bodyguards while she hits the dance floor and attempts to solicit drugs.

The team makes their way to the club and briefly stop at the bartender while they finalize their arrangements and move in. Trauma fails their disguise check against the dealer's perception, so he manages to spot her as she hits the dance floor. Being understandably terrified of the person with a 75k bounty, they don't immediately approach. After some time passes, the dealer manage to get their guts together and brave the dance floor in an attempt to sell her some of the mixed drugs and cause an overdose to claim the bounty. Trauma, being aware of the fact that the drugs being sold are unsafe, refrains from taking them.

The team and the dealer remain in an uneasy entente until the club closes for the night and they start trying to follow the dealer back to their car. Trauma refrains from hiding and instead attempts to convince the dealer that she is simply "Just another passerby." The dealer, being aware of her identity, picks up his pace. Eventually, the situation devolves into the dealer trying to bribe Trauma with his drugs in a vain attempt to try and avoid her harming him. Eventually, he is quickly snatched by Pasiphae when he tries to make a break for it. Once the runners have their hands on the dealer, he begins attempting to persuade the runners not to kill him by singing like a canary and revealing that the drugs were being sold by the Finnigans as well as the location in which they were stored. When they threaten him to tell him not to reveal that they're coming, he reveals that he had sent a panicked message to his boss that he was being chased by a woman matching Trauma's bounty description. The team unloads some stick-n-shock rounds into him before calling Yoshinaga to inform him of the new information.
