Summary
A team of runners is hired by Ms. Johnson to sing in a karaoke competion and engage in trickery to win.
Background
Naomi Fisk and her partner have a wager. Each puts together a team for karaoke sing off, the loser has to make morning soykaf for the rest of the year.
The Meet
The Public House is a pub styled night club in Capitol Hill. The most avant-garde of Downtown’s neighborhoods, Capitol Hill is where you can find independent cafés, second-hand and vintage clothiers, occult and specialty bookshops, galleries, and chic boutiques. It has also long been the center of Seattle’s alternative sexuality subcultures, including several neighborhood bars, nightclubs, and hangouts. On your way to the front entrance you pass by the ork and human. Apparently both will be singing karaoke; the woman early in the evening and the ork in the team competition at 2300. https://shreloaded.net/wiki/Quentin_Alavarez
As you enter you can see that the transition from quiz night to karaoke is almost complete. Across the room beyond the pool table Ms. Johnson is sitting at a table against the dining room wall. https://shreloaded.net/wiki/Naomi_Fisk

Caliban sabotages the karaoke equipment during Mikhail's performance and wins another one for Naomi.
Veronica beats Tsarina with Simple Gifts wining one for the opposition
The Prince does a credible tenor and ties with Tsarina
Katrina gets trounced by Tsarina's stunning performance in the grand finale
Aftermath
The runners make some money. Naomi's team wins in a squeaker, her partner makes the morning soykaf.
