Summary

As Seattle Software and Special Investigations recovers from licking their wounds, they open their doors to runners from the haven to bolster their ranks. The first of which to join the ranks, The Brazen Bull goes through a trial mission, of which he runs into familiar faces and deals with not only the challenge of gangers, but also the challenge of paperwork. He tours the S3I building, and meets friendly new coworkers, including Aleks Skliar and the armory staff.

Background

The Brazen Bull had worked previously with Farraday's Clinic, back before it was trounced by the N-51. As such, S3I, as they were starting to hire new runners, had a keen interest in working together. As it just so happens, Brazen Bull's fixer, Pierce Rogers was doing some digging around too and got them connected. At some point, Brazen thought about Dr. Nina Farraday, and where they could potentially be in the world. Not many had heard of him, nor none knew where he is at this time, too. The situation ended with a disapeared doctor, and left a community of people yearning for the medical treatments that Faraday had once supplied.

The Meet

Brazen Bull started their day with a meeting at Pierce's Gym, as Pierce Rogers had asked the Bull himself to come in. Pierce revealed that he had some runners check out the S3I building the other night, and that had left a curious itch in his brain. Asking Brazen Bull to check it out and do a gig for them, the Bull agreed and made his way to S3I. Upon getting inside, he was given a short rundown of S3I by the concierge staff.

Upon being asked what S3I is all about
S3I Was founded on a belief to help those underserved and overlooked. We believe in helping out our communities first and foremost.
Asking about why the building is so brutalist in nature
S3I's new building has been recently constructed in a utilitarian way, as well as a form of propaganda. The building was designed to dissuade attackers from assailing the building, but also built in a way to be easily defensible, and to help keep both staff and civilian safe in case of assault or natural disaster.
Asking further about if they knew about what happened to Nina Farraday
We regret what happened with the N-51, and have rebuilt in a way to make sure that organizations like that are disincentivized to attacking us again. As well, there's a statue Dedicated to Dr. Nina Farraday in the central loby, behind us.
Upon looking at the statue.
The statue itself is of a man with angel wings and a neon / LED Halo. On the plaque is the following information. "Angeli populi, mitis Salvatoris - Nina Farraday. Your efforts to help those are not lost on us all. May you forever rest in peace."

After a few minutes of investigating, soon Brazen Bull was met with a one Kate Markson who was excited to meet the bull himself, his local fame rubbing off. The two headed into Kate's office in the armory where they discussed the situation that was to be investigated. In Puyallup, there was reports of a small but constant amount of gunfire happening surrounding one building. Wanting to put a stop to the gunshots, a concerned citizen petitioned S3I to investigate, to which they agreed and hired Brazen Bull. The gig was simple: Go to the building, investigate, and stop the source of the combat, whatever it might be.

The Plan

Finding the gig amicable, Brazen Bull decided it'd be a good idea to stop by the armory and nab some items for the run. Checking things out, he decided to install a chemseal in his armor at S3I. They said it'd take a full day to do, so he dropped it off and rested for 24 hours. After returning to get his armor, he made his way into the streets of Puyallup with one goal in mind: stop the violence.
