Summary

Wrath is sent to make an example of an Ordo Maximus deserter, with the carrot of magical tutelage and the stick of further brutal punishment for betrayal.

Background

Robert Morden, an Ordo Maximus adept grunt, decided following orders wasn't for him, and the problem ended up on Charlie Van Hoensbroeck's desk.

The Meet

Charlie called up Wrath to pass on the orders for a violent murder. A great deal of friendly teasing and cheerful threats later, Wrath had a picture and rough location - unfortunately, in Glow City.

The Plan

Wrath summoned a spirit and put together some Armour preps, before heading into the Glow. With the spirit's single service, she managed to track down Mr. Morden despite the interfering Mana Aspect.

The Run

Tracking Mr. Morden to a once-fine building, Wrath set off, though barring her way was a small gang of scavengers brandishing weapons and demanding a toll. Wraith paid it and gave the location of an OU hideout nearby (though safely outside of the rad zone), along with some extra to buy non-irradiated food and booze to help flush the past food out of their system, leaving with a passing threat to not point weapons at her ever again.

Reaching the building, Wrath spotted a tripwire linked to a grenade, but rather than attempt to find an alternate path, she decided to make a statement by setting it off and shrugging off the explosion thanks to her cybernetic limbs.

This, of course, alerted Mr. Morden, and battle promptly commenced. However, Wrath possessed the enhanced reaction times of her Infected side as well as the durability of her cyberlimbs, and despite his sheer strength and adept powers, Mr. Morden could not land any hits well enough to do any major damage through her armour.

Aftermath

Per her instructions to make an example, Wrath beheaded Mr. Morden and placed his head on a piece of rebar as an improvised pike, writing "The Price of Betrayal" in blood on a nearby wall.
