“In a city of neon and glass, sometimes it can be easy to overlook the simple triumphs of our neighbors within our local communities.
You may remember the activity around Mischief Night last October, which saw an uptick in crime around the city. One local favourite situated at Thirty-seventh Street NW & C Street NE in Renton was devastated when a fire swept through the pub and destroyed much of the interior. The local policlub and community have rallied around the owner, decrying this as a metahuman act of violence by one of the local gangs, reportedly suspected to be Ancients-affiliated. No arrests have been made in the case, but local authorities found candle wax covering much of the scene of the crime, and a Humanis flag was missing from the front window of the establishment.
Is this a warning sign for unrest in this corner of the city?
As yet this is unclear, but it is heartwarming to see that even in uncertain times, we can still rely on humanity to show its more noble side. Volunteers have donated time and given patronage to the barbeque set up at an outdoor trailer during renovations. This Valentine's Day, the grand reopening will feature a special beer flight from local breweries dedicated to love in all its many, humanising forms.
To all of the lovers in Seattle, and those looking for love, we wish you a Happy Valentine's Day from all of us here in the Vox News studio. Good night.”
