Background

Masaru was born in Japan and spent most of his life in and around Neo-Tokyo. Living in the slums with his family, he worked hard to give them the best lives he could, but still most of his siblings ended up in a gang. His parents appreciated his efforts and he stayed with them until their deaths. After Masarus parents died thing headed downhill quickly. His brother picked up a nasty drug habit, another brother was pressured by his gang and turned up dead in a ditch. After that his another brother contacted him to get help getting out of his gang, that's where things truly went wrong. He was able to convince the gang to let his brother go, at least he thought, then Renraku ended up in his house and killing what family he had left. He only got away as his drug addled brother covered for him, telling him someone must carry on the family. After that he fled Japan and turned up in Seattle, he started taking jobs in the shadows trading himself up, getting ready for his war.
