Summary

• Sebastian Torres hails from the Madrid Metroplex, where contrails of warm neon and corporate spires contrast against old world plazas and ancient heritage. He grew up in a fairly standard home in old town, apprenticing in electrical work for his local union before a feud over family business led him fist first into affairs in Madrid's dark recesses. He found a string within COIN, then followed it to their connection to the Knight's Templar and learned of their shadow war with the Black Lodge. He found himself tangled up in a web of secret societies, conspiracies, and intrigue, and after getting augmented, works just to remember which way is up.

Background

• Sebastian Torres is a native Spaniard, born and raised in the Madrid Metroplex, a series of hivelike concentric circles laced with warm neon flares and old world heretige. He inhereted his ancestral family values and cultural sense of personal honor, and they carried into his rougher teen years where family feuds and insults lead to brawls in the streets. When he was older, and one such altercation occured over his brother's autoshop's legitimacy as a business, Sebastion found the person he fought off had ties to a greater organization in Madrid known as the Black Lodge. He came back for revenge, and Sebastion was pulled into their web of conspiracies fist first. When his family was killed for helping COIN, he had no reason to stay in the normal world, and stepped into the shadows to pursue the evils and conspiracies he began to discover. Now he's on the run from the web of intrigue making up Spain's underworld, only to find it spans the globe, and he counters it where he can.

- Sebastian is a prideful Spaniard with a hot head and big heart. He was raised a gentleman, a man who would stay his blade and bullets from the blood of innocents, and a man who appreciated art and beauty. His word as a Spaniard is something he values highly, as are his manners. He will work to preserve both of them. Should his honor be impugned, he will act out to correct it and restore his name. He will protect the innocent, his friends, women, and beauty to the best of his ability.

• Big Regret

- While the Knight's Templar helped in Santiago's arrival to the shadows, they proved to be an enemy as much as the Black Lodge, the Royalists, the Militants, and the Corporations. Early in his underworld life, he was tasked with aiding a pack of Templars in purifying a lodge in rural Spain. The wives and children of several members were there, attending a ceremony, and he immediately demanded to cancel the operation. He was assured that it was acceptable in the eyes of the Lord, who Himself struck down women and children in Sodom and Gomorrah. Santiago however knew he was not the Lord, and instead used his sniping support perch to kill both Templar and Lodge member alike while sparing the women in children. Despite his honor demanding he protect them, he remains conflicted over the events of that day. Yes he protected the weak and innocent, but were they not tied to evil? Yes he struck down killers and looters, but were they not acting on behalf of the Lord? Yes he did the right thing, but is the deepest, coldest circle of hell not reserved for traitors?
