Narrative Significant Qualities
Emotional attachment (Suit): When Faust lived in the barrens he wore ratty T-shirts. His suit represents his abandonment of that life, and his new identity. He would no more leave it behind than he would go back home and fix pipes.
Mentor Spirit Seducer: Faust chases the "Good life", as he has defined it in a very shallow sense. Drugs, sex, nice clothes, wealth, fame, and magic all represent this good life to him. His magic is intimiately tied up with this perception.
Symbiosis: Maybe it's the memories of the Barrens, maybe it's the fact that he is biologically tied to the land. Either way, Faust will not live in a shithole, and he will knock as many heads, cut as many deals, and break as many taboos as he must to make sure the place he lives is in good health.
