Jennifer is a former NeoNET Decker, who worked in Boston prior to the events of 2076.
Erika is the embodiment of the phrase "The best defense is a good offense". All her life has been spent beating up Matrix bullies and Corpo goons that go after her and those like her. This has earned her online fame as someone who stands up to the G Men, and sticks up for her kind thought the world.


She was being groomed to be presented to GOD as part of a convergence response team. Thus, her specialties included being mobile, being able to take care of herself in the field, and being especially deadly to personas. Her training is focused on boots on the ground style, and her various NeoNET supplied enhancements reflect that.
Erika doesn't want to cause chaos and anarchy for the Matrix at large. She stands against the Corpo control, and GOD's iron hand that controls the Matrix. Her Paragon guides her on this path. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, and while Erika is not beyond causing damage to her enemies she rarely wants to see anyone severely injured or dead. She'll brick decks all day and cause a little biofeedback here and there but usually stops when the other guy can't fight back.


She despises being stuck in one spot, slumped over as a meatsack while doing her decking. She uses her EARRS whenever she goes into hotsim.

Erika's biggest glaring fault is experience. Growing up she had no real education as a Technomancer. Her hacking skills are on point, but the other aspects, including dealing with sprites, needs some work.


She is also pretty bloodthirsty when it comes to decking. She will always win at any cost. Other deckers are just meaty speedbumps in her way.

Erika is the orphaned daughter of SEAL Third Class Daniel Rawlings of the CASN, and Lieutenant Patricia Rawlings of the CASAF. Her mother died in an incident involving undercover MCT shock troops off the coast of England, who were there to assassinate a high ranking Royal Navy Officer. They failed, but casualties on both sides were large. Erika was 4 at the time.

She was 9 when her father died. It was an incident on a cargo ship in the Atlantic. His team was sent to investigate a suspicious vessel that had gone dark. The vessel turned out to be crawling with Strain III infected. The whole team was KIA except for the lead SEAL and their Commander. This lead SEAL, we know as [[Katherine Tyler]]. Coincidence...?
Jennifer has to move on from NeoNET and establish herself in the professional world. She grew up pretty spoiled, and so she needs to learn how to act on the mean streets of Seattle.


Jennifer wants to become a wolf among sheep in the Matrix. She grew a taste for (digital) blood while working for NeoNET.
Turns out not. Kate is an old family friend. Erika doesn't hold her responsible for what happened. She knew the last thing Kate would ever want was for someone to get hurt. It was a colossal fuck up, and Kate wears it still to this day. In fact, Erika's desire to stick up for others came from Kate's values.


She wants to increase her social network. Friends are more valuable than any high-priced cyberdeck.
Erika emerged when she was just three years old. Her parents being Special Forces in their respective military branches knew the implications of this right away. Born so soon after the Second Matrix Crash, they worried for her, but knew that this was a great opportunity for her to learn young and be exposed to the new network going up around the world. After her mother died, her father tried her best. His best friend, [[Katherine Tyler]] helped out as best she could. Kate's mom was also there for help. Erika seemed to be turning out pretty good. She grew up with less of a feminine influence in her life.

After her father's death it was a little different. She went to live at the Tyler's estate until she was 18. It took many years for Kate to come back to normal after her father's death. Kate blamed herself for what happened. But Erika couldn't find it in her heart to hold any animosity towards her. It was a horrible failure that Kate lives with to this day. She bears her own scars that she will carry for the rest of her life.
Jennifer was born in Boston to two very good professional decker parents. They worked for NeoNET as part of internal security. Jenn was sent to a good school, earned a degree in Software Engineering, and went to work for NeoNET like mom and dad. She became an internal white hat hacker for the Corp.


Prior to the events of the Lockdown, she was a promising prospect to be contracted out to GOD. She was very excited for this, and shifted her training to focus on what her new role could be, if she was accepted.
Two years ago Kate retired. Weeks after, she moved out to Seattle to work as a freelancer. Three weeks ago Erika followed her. That was back in August.


Her parents were on-site during Eliohann's attack. Jenn was not. She was visiting the Transys Neuronet HQ when it happened. She stayed in Edinburgh until about two weeks after the attack, and in that time she learned of her parent's deaths. Figuring that NeoNET might be in a downward spiral, she went as far away as she could from the Corp. She settled down in Seattle, getting herself lost in the Emerald City.  
Now Erika follows in her footsteps. Offering herself as a new Shadowrunner on the Haven. She spends most of his time browsing the stacks at the Seattle Public Library. She spends her off time cutting a (virtual) rug at Dante's. She spends her time in the Shadows investigating leads, and finding Corporate Deckers to beat up.

She bears numerous small scars from her service, but one stands out. A jagged claw scar extends from the base of her neck to her shoulder. This is where a ghoul grabbed her and cut along the top plate of her armor through the Kevlar. It healed, but left a very prominent scar. This can be seen if she wears a t-shirt. It can just barely be seen over the collar of an armored jacket or dress coat.
