Summary
A concerned pair of orks haven't heard from their pal Little Rat in awhile. A team is requested to find him.
Background
The Barrens are a dangerous place - missing persons are usually cause for concern. And while the troll that's gone missing should be able to fend for himself, that he's been gone for half a day without word is concerning.
The Meet
In a crummy bar in Redmond, the team met up with the Johnson - and quickly extracted some details in spite of their terrible social talents. Little Rat is a big troll, who's come into some money lately and spent a lot of time at the Triple Tetragon, a bar known for playing home to mages. There they were looking for someone that Johnson called Black Cheese - but whom Bloodletter correctly guessed was probably actually named "Black Chizu." Sudden money and mage contact is naturally suspicious, so the team began their investigation there.
The Plan
While Bloodletter and Panda went to the bar at the Triple Tetragon, Bunny Hop got to work looking into the host. She was quickly able to find that the host itself was fairly clean - but with the help of the muscle sitting at the bar, she narrowed down which commlink belonged to Black Chizu. A bit of hacking later, the team was in possession of the info on where Little Rat last went - and just in time, too, because the bartender booted Bloodletter and Panda out moments later with a hearty, "Buy a drink, talk to your fixer, or get lost!"
The Run
The location Little Rat was investigating is apparently a hole in the ground that once served as a drug lab - but instead of doing any drug making, for the last decade it's mostly been a flashpoint for various gang wars. The territory above it shifts constantly. Today, when Bunny Hop sends a fly spy down to investigate, she finds that the hole is playing host to one injured Little Rat and a half a dozen vampires.
When the fly spy gets spotted, Bloodletter charges in - with Panda sneaking in behind her as the hostiles are distracted. One, two, three of the goons are cut down, while the tall elf standing behind them (who isn't even holding a gun) catches a bullet from Panda. Surprise works in the runners' favor, and they quickly cut down the remainder.
On the matrix side, Bun briefly tangles with an enemy 'decker' - who flees when the goons they're covering for are mopped up.
Aftermath
A naturally overjoyed Johnson reunites with Little Rat - who pitches in to pay the runners for their work that day.
