Summary

An elderly orc by the name of Ms. Moira needed some cigarettes. Unfortunately, there's a minor gang war happening in Avondale, so neither her or any of her housemates can go grab them. This is a problem, so the dwarf Winston asks some shadowrunners to grab some, resulting in some sneaking, some violence, and some theft of motorcycles.

The Meet

141, Cauldron, and Newt are all invited to a video call by their fixers, with a somewhat haggard looking dwarf, who explains the situation to the runners. The crew is stuck inside of their house due to the fighting, and Ms. Moira is suffering from nicotine withdrawals, so he asked the runners to grab a pack or two of cigarettes to help calm her down. After some negotiation, and checking to see what brand Ms. Moira likes, the runners meet together at stuffer shack to plan.

The Plan

The group decides since most of the fighting is in Avondale, they are going to try to sneak around the borough's lower border to avoid the worst of it. In addition, Newt summons a spirit of the air to keep them concealed. With the preparations set, the team goes on their way.

The Run

The run starts out simple enough. Unfortunately, the spirit of air does a little to good at concealing the team, leading to Cauldron almost being hit by a go-ganger who couldn't see him. After incapacating him and stealing his bike, the gang continues, eventually being stopped by a group of gangers with a spirit who saw them. Cauldron is brought to a boil but saved, and the team manage to take them out after Newt turned the enemy mage into...a Newt. The team continued until they reached the house they were told to go to, where a shootout between the Ancients and Halloweeners was brought to a decisive Halloweener victory via Aztechology striker. Seeing no other way forward, the group sneaks as close as possible before opening up on the Weener crew, with a combination of sneak attacks and a rosebush spell finishing them off quickly.

Aftermath

The runners enter the house to see Ms. Moira shouting at one of her housemates about the trials she endured when she was his age, they give her the cigarettes, after which she calms down somewhat and agrees to help pay the group what they were owed. They manage to make it back out of Redmond without further difficulty, and go about on their days.
