Limitless arrived at the warehouse Big Ned worked from, with Dango in a safe spot away from the action with her drones on standby. Summary
After getting word about a potential lead on recovering both pride and possession from the Halloweeners, Limitless gets the help of her friend Dango to get it back-and get some payback.
Background
When Limitless was still just Kris, newly figuring herself out and still fresh to trying her hand at shadowruns, she was of the habit of hanging out on the streets of Redmond with a friend of hers, Susie. She wasn't exactly dating Susie, wasn't ever really comfortable feeling that vulnerable with someone, but they were close. Then one October, as Kris and Susie were messing around and the adventurous runner was using her dad's old stetson for impressions, they were attacked by Halloweeners. The inexperienced runner wasn't able to handle the group, and had to run away in shame as she lost her hat, and more importantly her friend, in the same night.
This was her chance to pay them back.
The Meet
As Limitless was casually enjoying her evening, she got a ring up from Hellsing, her mentor and fixer, about a potential lead to investigate. While her first hope was that it was about her father, she wasn't too disappointed to hear there was a chance to get her revenge on the 'Weener that took her damn hat. A guy named Big Ned, a gnome with a lot of ware and magic. Limitless called up Dango to help her hunt him down for answers, and figure this whole thing out.
The Plan
"Planning" is not exactly the kind of thing Limitless does. And Dango wasn't really trying to stop her from being herself.
The loose idea that might be something like a plan was to drop by the warehouse Big Ned was at, make an entrance, make Ned talk, and then use whatever info they can get to do the culprit dirty.
The Run
Limitless arrived at the warehouse Big Ned worked from, with Dango in a safe spot away from the action with her drones on standby. Two 'weeners were standing guard at the entrance, one of which wasn't willing to fight a girl like Limitless, and the other who was swiftly incapacitated. With that, Dango sent a message of warning to the 'Weeners at the daredevil's request, and a forewarned Big Ned and his bodyguards met Limitless for a proper fight. This wasn't quite so easy like the goons at the entrance, but with help from her trusty decker and her perpetually insane stunts, the deed was done. They dragged an unconscious Ned out of the warehouse and got their answers-some guy people called Tim in the gang was the one who apparently had the hat. With that knowledge secured, the normally plucky and easygoing Limitless put away the frivolties and prepared to assassinate the bastard. After a day of rest to recover from her wounds and having borrowed a Springfield M1A from Dango's drone, she set up about 200 or so meters away from the target's favorite hideout. She double-tapped this apparent mage in the head, knocking him unconscious and dying, as a spirit rose to attempt to defend its master. However, before it got the chance to move in, Limitless took one last shot at the unconscious mage, finishing them off.
