House Zenthra, championed by Elias Zenthra.

Elias Zenthra has high aspirations that, ultimately, come from a deep seated need to gain the approval of his father, Paladin Zentha. The elder Zenthra, having had to deal with both Paz’s shenanigans about running off to Seattle as well as the struggles between himself and his son, Elias, who always wanted more as a result of being a ‘second son’.

Elias wants to be a Prince on the Council, and he’s willing to go to great lengths to see that done. But first, he will need to get enough of a reputation to rise through the ranks. He’s done the work to establish himself in Cara’sir, but having a number of big wins to his name will be the thing he uses to begin climbing through the ranks.

Goals

• Wipe out the "Family" as a means of garnering political acclaim within Tir Taingire
• Leverage a variety of favors, both to keep Paz out of trouble as well as to gain political favor and reputation

Rival Faction: ALSO House Zenthra

House Zenthra, championed by Verna Zenthra, Paz and Elias's very bitter mother. She has plenty of political ambition but comes from common stock, owing her nobility to her marriage to Paladin Ashelander Zenthra. She absolutely cannot stand Paz and believes that she represents everything wrong with elven culture - from her choice of careers to her cyberware to her general existence as a disaster-person.

Goals

• Discover what Elias is up to, since he is being so tight lipped
• Be as much of a pain to Paz as possible

Rival Faction: The Family

Rinelle ke'Tesrae Movement

Elias seems to have found a clear foil an target in the "Family", a movement in Cara'Sir that seeks to upend the monarchy. As a group of more or less magical terrorists, any action that takes them down a peg puts Elias on the up and up within the Tir Courts.

Goals

• Overthrow the monarchy and establish a democracy in Tir Taingire
• The Black Sun Faction, or "Brat'mal", are an extremist-among-extremist faction which wants to drive all metahumans who aren't elves out of the Tir.

The Story So Far

Chapter 1: "Control" - Peace: Noblesse Oblige 1 - Paz and her exes, plus Obsidian, wipe out a cell of the Black Sun, an extremist faction of the "Family", the Rinelle Ke'Tesrae, a Tir counter culture and terrorist group which seeks to overthrow the monarchy. The Black Sun, as the worst of the worst, are easily wiped out, leading to Elias's ascent to Lordship.

Chapter 2: "Nemesis" - Peace: Noblesse Oblige 2 - The team returns to Cara'sir under the premise of a wetwork job for Elias, taking out one of the leaders of the Rinelle who was supposedly funding the Brat'mal. In their investigation, however, they realize that someone is setting her up and that there is some shadowy hand at play moving pieces through the Tir like chessmen. They decide to "vanish" Eliana Silverhair, staging her own death, in order for Elias to successfully get credit for the kill while saving their consciences. But who is pulling the strings on Paz's brother?

• Elias knows Paz admitted to being a coward
• Elias has grown up a lot since Paz left Cara'sir
• Elias is surprisingly secure about his data
• Elias had a late night visitor named Marina that was 'sneaking out' after meeting with Elias for "reasons"
• Something is deeply wrong with Elias, under all the masks and facades, and he feels he is in too deep to be able to back out now
