Born in the slums of Los Angeles' El Infierno. Growing up in such a place like that left little choice for the future but to be fodder for some street gang. Your only chance to be someone or go somewhere was to be the lucky 1 in 10000, and he just so happened to be that lucky slotter. Magic nothing flashy like fling fireballs or men of stone from another dimension. Mana quickened his reflexes, get out of the way of danger, and get a grouping the size of a penny. He became a leader among the kids from his apartment block. These talents shined in his mid-teens when a skirmish broke out between gangers and a merc group. Some rich kid went and got themselves kidnapped and held in El Infierno not too far from Vergil's home. The Father not wanting to pay the ransom hired the Bronzestar company to get them out. The ensuing violence spilled into his block with a cornered ganger taking one of his friends, a girl named Mouse, hostage. With no one doing anything to stop the ganger Vergil took it upon himself. Three rounds from his beat-up snub-nosed revolver tore through the exposed side of the gangers head. In the aftermath a Bronzestar recruitor offered him a deal; sign up with them and see the outside world. It was something that every slum kid dreams of. And after some reflecting took the offer and left home. The world was open to him. He saw sights he'd only dreamed, cultures he'd never heard, and places all to similier to his home turf.
