Massive explosion reported nearby.
Date: 13/08/2084 By: Carly Reeves
Good morning Seattle! I am Carly Reeves for KSAF. I am standing here in Libbey Beach park, behind me a mere 100 kilometers away the border of the SSC. As dawn breaks on this warm August day and boats begin to dock, we have started to receive reports of gunfire and a massive explosion near a small island just over the board new Victoria. in the Chatham Islands. Boaters began hearing gunfire from the small island through the night culminating in an explosion and small mushroom cloud, the effects of which were felt even as far as these shores. When asked for comment SSC and UCAS officials simply replied "No Comment". While some signs of increased ocean activity have been noticed no major damage has been reported. Local marine experts have speculated that an explosion of that size could easily alter marine life travel patterns for weeks to come and any ecological fallout at this time is unknown. I for one am not satisfied with the responses of our representatives in the government and will be following up. For KSAF I'm Carly Reeves.
