Summary

After the events of Out of the Blue, GX7 was left behind in the south. He stole a bike and started driving, attempting to get back to Seattle. He's not sure why, but it feels like home. For now.

Background

Seven realized that his team was on to his infected nature at the end of Out of the Blue. Attempting to act in line with some metahuman standards, he still attended the meet to support his team while hiding from them. As the handoff went from bad to worse and he displayed some of his abilities by jumping on a biker and melting him, some on the team started to turn on him. Taking the biker and bike that he was still on, he fled the scene, with the biker and his bike.

Roll with the Punches

Finding himself in a ditch after crashing his stolen bike, Seven starts to head toward city lights. It's night so he's not bothered at the moment. Eventually he finds 'My Brother's Place', a bar on the outskirts of Nashville. There are several motorcycles outside, so Seven goes in to case who he might steal one from. Spending some time, he spots a dwarf who looks like a biker and he leaves to ambush him. Luckily for our little antagonist, the dwarf and his friends spotted Seven, so they make their way outside since he looks like a guy who stole a bike from their friends. This does not go well for the bikers. A confrontation mounts and eventually one of the bikers takes hold of Seven giving him the opening he needs to melt the guy and take his bike. Seven escapes the scene after some shots are taken before the crew gives up the immediate pursuit.

A Little help from your Fiendest

At this point, Seven calls the fixer Fiendest. She advises him to head to New Orleans where she has some friends that might be able to help. During the day, he holes up in a barn. The farmer lets the cows out, but misses the bike cleverly hidden under a tarp. When the farmer returns, Seven overhears some news about gangers looking for someone.

Intent to Ambush the Ambushers

Planning to make an Ambush, he instead finds himself traveling south surrounded by several bikers. Shots are fired, Seven jumps from bike to bike, and woodpulp really messes him up. In the end, Seven is barely alive and barely victorious. But he fills up on the things he needs, grabs a new bike and heads south to look for medical supplies.

Bo and the Sherriff

Seven makes his way to Millport Mississippi. There he finds a vet clinic and a flashback to his days in the MCT facility hospital wing. With shaking hands, he steals a medkit and bolts for the sewers to hide. Meanwhile in town the Sherriff Jim Bob and his trusty dog Bo are looking for the culprit. He's nearly found by the willey beast, but he's hidden just well enough. Over the next couple of days he hitches a few rides south.

The City that Care Forgot

New Orleans agrees with Seven. He almost stays there. But he has a goal in mind, so after sneaking in he has a few options. He could look for other infected, but that is risky given he is competition. Or he could attempt to make it to the bar that Fiendest recommended to find Anne-Marie Leveux. He decides to find the Prohibition bar and climbs to the roofs to do so. Up there he feeds a crow. Birds are interesting.

When he finally finds the bar he sneaks in the back and finds Anne-Marie. Negotiating Seven style he arranges a ride to San Francisco where he'll meet a fox shifter and ride with her to Seattle with the promise of making a delivery for Fiendest and Anne-Marie. To complete the deal he needs 315 ¥ more than he has, so he climbs back to the roof.

Life Lessons on the Hunt

On the tops he spots another vampire. The pair approach cautiously, but eventually strike up a conversation. From Hollyhock he learns about the Zobop and how they use Sukuyan and she tells him a bit about how to identify them by speech and markings. And she explains that while they don't necessarily live in a Red Tower, they go by the Red Tower Crew.

The pair decide to get a meal together and with her help that goes off fairly well. She also educates him about how their kind comes to be. It is enlightening.

Across the States

Meeting back up with Anne-Marie, they set off. The smuggler is able to handle the driving and she's fast. When they reach Las Vegas in the PCC they pick up the drugs, which Seven dumps into a backpack. Then they are off to Los Angeles in Calfree. Anne-Marie drops him off near a cliff in LA and he waits for his new partner to arrive.

Ara Yeou

The vulpine shifter is an interesting partner for Seven. They both relate to an animalistic temperament and see themselves as apart from metahumanity. To start, they walk up the road to steal a car. Sneaking in to a room, the grab what they need and take off. She tries on lipstick and Seven doesn't get it. Skeptical, he tries it and finds he doesn't like it. It doesn't even taste good.

Heading north, he listens to some books about the local geography. When it's her turn to drive, she turns out to not be very good at it, so he suffers through his allergy with the windows up. The pair talk about the world and it's inhabitants.

Initially they decide to circumvent Tir Tairngire. But Ara brings up the place of power that is Mt. Shasta. She explains that it's in a contested area. Examining the options and the difference in travel time, Seven agrees. To cross the border, they ditch the car and clean it. Then they make their way on foot. The walk takes a bit out of them, so they rest the night in a cave.

Crime Across North America

In the morning, they steal a truck from someone involved in the conflict on the CalFree side. They pass Mt. Shasta and enjoy the view of the deluxe power. At Southerlin they head toward the coast to avoid the big cities. In case it is necessary, she tries to teach him Shapechange. Overhead a Thunderbird causes a storm.

Once the storm subsides, they stop to get gas. Seven is able to avoid the urge to eat again, having his fill from earlier and not wanting to jeopardize their progress. Seven takes the truck offroad to avoid checkpoints into the SSC. Finally they ditch the vehicle and walk into the metroplex.

Seven waves goodbye as he sinks into a sewer.

Seven

I have made my way back to Seattle. Maybe I should have stayed in New Orleans. It would have been easy and possibly beneficial. I felt like there were still things for me to do in Seattle.

I did not think to consider revenge. But the chat has brought things up. Is it revenge to return. I must think.
