Summary
A hellhound was stolen, owner wants it back
Background
One of the many grandchildren of Granny Tusk had her hellhound recently stolen in unclear circumstances, and she is desperate to have it back
The Meet
Wrath is invited over to the Fixer's hideout, where she is greeted by Granny's niece, and later on by Granny herself. After sharing tea and some pleasantries, Granny Tusk reveals that an Hellhound, Abby, that was previously in the care of one of her grandchildren had disappeared, and so she needed a runner to recover her, both because of the damage a loose hellhound could cause, and to bring her beloved her pet back
The Plan
Given the mission proposed is quite simple, not much goes into planning, with Wrath going back to her lodge and making a watcher and two armor preps, and letting the watcher loose to find the specified hellhound, using the picture given as reference for the search power.
The Run
The last location the watcher manages to find is near to the docks, but once Wrath arrives there, no physical trace of the paracritter remains. Alas, what stays is an astral imprint, as evidence that the paracritter had used one of her powers, fear, to be precise.
Some tracks are identified, and through her survival skills the dzoo noo qua follows them up until she finds the hellhound, accompanied by some Halloweeners. Some passive stalking confirm what she suspected, that being those psychos with flamethrowers aren't exactly up to negotiate, so she drops a mob mind spell in their midst, to great effect, making all the metahuman combatants her thralls, while Abby remains unaffected. One SnS shotgun shot pacifies the critter, and seeing the opportunity, Wrath opts to take one of the mind controlled gangers in a secluded spot, and get a quick essence drain off, to stave off her natural decay for the month
Aftermath
Hellhound is returned, Granny Tusk is happy, one Halloweener has slightly less essence
Rewards
