Overview
"Now you see here, the city kinda dropped the ball here, these plants they put down, totally not gonna do well in this climate, you can see here they're in various stages of dying, but here are a few I did. This one I planted back in '78, it's doing fine, this one here I planted back in '75, it's still doing fine - basically everything you see here that isn't dead, I grew those bastards from acorns. Technically speaking this isn't legal, but when it comes to planting trees, y'know, something good people wanna look at, something that's good for environment, the concept of legality doesn't matter so much."
Tony Santoro is a rogue botanist who has been planting trees across the Seattle sprawl for years. He has a strange sense for when plants are doing well and when they aren't, and he knows a fair bit about mushrooms, fungi, and other such things that grow from the land. Where the city has failed to plant healthy shrubs and and trees, he has stepped in to do some classic direct action, replacing them with trees he knows will thrive. He also maintains a channel on P2.1 where he has a small following of Seattle-area neo-anarchists and eco-shamans.
