Summary
I love when Oberon said "It's Goblin time!" and then gobbled those guys.
Background
After the events of Shakedown Breakdown, Oberon is displeased, and in a show of solidarity with the new young vampire he clocked earlier in the night, Gehenna, he invites her along to feed on the two dwarves who had tried to lowball them.
The Hunt
As the crew speeds away with their extracted mage, Oberon strips nude and asks Gehenna to hold his clothes as he transforms into a bird to give chase. Although unable to mask his aura, he nonetheless remains enough under the radar to follow the van along a circuitous path into a warehouse about ten minutes East of where they had just been. After circling the location, he determines that their astral defense is nonexistent and their physical defense limited to two watchers spotting from the rooftop. Although he can't quite find a decent angle to get a good look inside after transforming back to his metahuman form, he settles in on a nearby rooftop and calls Gehenna, who arrives shortly after with his clothes.
After an awkward changing scene (for Gehenna at least), the two debate how to proceed, eventually settling on waiting for them to leave, and letting Gehenna astral project inside to gather more information. Once there, she finds out that the mage extraction had gone well over budget for what their boss had intended. Red Ledger, the actual gang they work for, signed off on a mage extraction in order to bolster their astral ability, an area in which they severely lack. After a somewhat heated exchange, the crew move the mage's limp body to another van, and the dwarves drive away in theirs, ghosts in the night.
The Capture
Once again, Oberon and Gehenna give pursuit, and follow the duo back to their apartment in Touristville. Once the two are inside, the two once again discuss methods of infiltration, and settle on the clever use of a sound barrier around the walls of their living space and a mage mirror slipped through a crack in the door. Gehenna, pyramids in her eyes and in her targets' minds, dominates the first dwarf, who catches her gaze in the mirror during a brief moment of horror. He reports that nothing is wrong, against his will, and goes back to the kitchen.
Oberon, still cloaked with invisibility, creeps inside, though is heard by the other brother still in the restroom. He grabs his shotgun, emerges, and spies around the room warily, although cannot seem to find the source. Now in plain view, Gehenna takes the clear chance to dominate his mind as well - filled with the pyramids of the Illuminati, he too falls thrall, and the two of them, without power or will, are tied to two dining chairs.
The Feast
Now safely tied into dining chairs, the dwarves are released from their mind magic, and immediately begin to panic, one with fear and the other with blind rage. At Gehenna's insistence, Oberon starts and relishes his meal, draining blood and essence from a screaming dwarf until the husk of his corpse slumps in his chair after an agonizing few minutes.
Gehenna, off put, approaches the other dwarf, who is now quietly seething, glaring, tears falling from his eyes. She quietly apologizes, and begins her own meal from the squirming man. He briefly breaks free of his restraints and lunges to gouge out her eyes, though Oberon acts swiftly and restrains him. Gehenna says she's had enough, and that Oberon can finish him. As she turns away, he does, thanking her casually for the extra food.
Aftermath
All meals need to be cleaned up after, however. Oberon takes a large kitchen knife and stabs each of them deeply in the neck, severing their jugulars and hopefully leaving them dead rather than revived victims of HMHVV. Bodies into black bags and a swift call to Neznayka after, who clarifies that, yes, she can keep her mouth shut and yes, the little sanctuary she has in Snohomish could use some corpses for fertilizer. The two steal a small motorcycle trailer from the apartment's parking garage and set off on their way, releasing the sound barrier.
Neznayka reports some hours later to Oberon that all has gone to plan, and that she's found the remains just where he'd left them.
