Background

Backstory

So what does a man do when he is born into a drek life, with no hope for a future? When each day in life is a trudge through all the waist deep shit and invisible hands pulling you down. Max was born SINless and grew up in poverty. His father, a human was a Rent-a-Cop and his mother was an ork from the Cascade Ork tribe in Salish Sidhe, who ran away against her clan's wishes to marry a non native american and a non ork/troll. Unable to get a proper job, due to his lack of a SIN and not wanting to live the underpaid life that his father led, barely making ends meet to feed 5 mouths: Max, his brother, his sister and his mother who eventually took up a job as waitress. Among all his siblings, Max was born a human but goblinized when he turned 18. Fortunately for him goblinization didn't hit him quite as hard and he was able to retain most of his charm. As an adult, Max went his own way. He started his career as a bodyguard and when that didn't work out he decided his hands at the underground fighting ring under the name Barren Knight. Money was much better, even though the risk of losing an arm or two was quite high. One quickly learns how to fight like an animal inside the steel cage, but what Max failed to learn was that you should take the fall when you are offered a drek ton of money. Well, he didn't expect the fighter to just keel over and die from one hit, it was supposed to make the fight look more realistic. Yeah well, the candy ass pussy did and Max paid the price with his limbs, left to die in a gutter. But he didn't die, or we wouldn't be talking about him over here would we? No Sir, An elf with a lot of money saved him, called it "potential future investment" after watching a few of his matches. It was mostly drek second hand ware that was used to bring back Max on his feet, and thus was born Cyber Knight. He had his limbs to avenge but that can come later. Before that he had a debt of honor to pay.
