Summary

Edea Thayer is the division head of Ares Macrotechnology's Titan Test Team which builds and tests new exotic weapons. He leads programming for the control systems by day, but by night scorns the company she works for with all her might.

Background

Knock grew up as an only child of a rich family. She spent most of her time indoors coding and learning the ins and outs of computer technology. Through school she excelled at logic based skills, even learning early on that she was autistic, but that didn't stop her. She powered through life and found herself working the corporate ladder within Ares Macrotechnology. That is until, when during a shift at work, a bad patch was pushed to her team's nightly build. The hardware when haywire which cost the lives of two members of her team. After which, she was entirely removed from her division and pushed into desk under the infosec portion of Ares. Furious with their choice, she did what she could to fly under the radar and keep what she had left of her job, all the while finding ways to strike back at Ares. During an attempted DDOS attack, Knock was stopped with a message from a Haven supporter, asking her to hold off from the wanton attack in favor of joining something larger. This begins Knock's career in the Haven.

Knock being an engineer with Ares, always had a knack for pushing her hardware to its limits. She's got things under control, even when they're running hot.

Knock's WPM is close to 180 with the help of her cyber arms. She's always been quick to code, hatching full-brained schemes with ease with her high-speed code.

Knock used to play piano when they were younger, and that training of tempo and timing stuck with her always.

• Black Market Pipeline

When being brought into the fold of the Haven, she was contacted by a mysterious benefactor through the net. This same benefactor gave her access to better hardware and software for her nefarious deeds.

Knock works full time for Ares Macrotechnology. She wants to keep her job so she can weasel her way into destroying Ares from the inside out. This causes some concern with the runners that work for her. Can a corpo really be trusted? Something always feels off when she's around...

• Poor Self Control - Sadistic

There was always talk around the office about how Knock's patch ended up in the death of her coworkers. Folks she worked with, her higher ups, they always wondered; did she do it on purpose? Nobody has ever found evidence that it was done with the kind of sadistic intent, but she's always been a pain to work with around the office. Was that the corpo attitude bleeding through, or is Knock really that cruel? In truth, she didn't lose any sleep over having killed her coworkers.
