Background

There was a time when then man who calls himself Juan Diaz in public and Copperhead on the streets was Aztechnology's favored assassin. The corporation was all he knew for his entire life. What his memory doesn't hold is that he was literally grown in a lab to be almost irresistible. Physically a top athlete and with looks of a supermodel. Or at least that's what he might tell you. It's a bit more complicated than that as the experiment that created him was a combination of gene therapy and experimentation with HMHVV.

Suave, savvy, and incredibly charismatic it was the work of years to leak enough information about himself to rivals in Ares macrotechnology and organize the shadowrun that extracted him from Azzie control. But that was just exchanging one master for another, though it was one who didn't quite understand the nature of his being. Ares assigned him to the Black Knight project where he became a hostage negotiator and counter intrusion asset under the code name Lancelot.

In 2068 the Black Knight program came to an end, violently, Copperhead only just barely escaped injury and was forced into hiding. That lasted for a few years until he was eventually brought to heel by the Ordo Maximus presence in Seattle. One cannot walk in the auspices of the 'court' for too long without them finding out. Now Copperhead finds himself trapped again. While the Ordo gives him more leeway than either megacorporation had in many ways loyalty to them is its own sort of prison and there's nothing that Copperhead would like more than to be truly free.

Narrative Significant Qualities

Positive

Prototype Transhuman, Biocompatibility (Bioware): Copperhead was grown to be a killer.

Vampire: Supernaturally charismatic and deadly, Copperhead can walk about in the daylight with only a little difficulty. But not without effort.

Negative

Social Appearance Anxiety: After years of being told he was perfect by his creators; Copperhead is very sensitive about maintaining appearances.

Spirit Bane (Blood Spirit): Copperhead was created by Aztechnology, he was designed to be weak to the blood mages as a means of backup control.
