Category:Active Runners

This category tracks runners who have been on a run in the past 6 months as tracked by AARs. The purpose of this is to allow Template:ContactPlayerConnections to check this category instead of Category:Player Characters, thus causing the contact list of player characters who have the contact to automatically clear itself of idle runners, and exclude characters who have yet to be used on a run.

This works as follows

1. Player characters the page is a wikimedia "category" page. The category is setup and added to by adding "" to a page. This flags the page as a player character.

2.active runners is also a category, a sub category of player characters ( in the active player category page makes it a subcategory. This page gets populated in a similar way to player characters except that it happens via the template run history.

3.The run history template adds the page it's on to either inactive or active players. If the latest run is less than 6 months ago it adds otherwise it adds

No page should be added to this category except by Template:RunHistory. Note that Wiki Staff will be very sad if they catch anyone adding pages to this category through any means other than Template:RunHistory.
