Character Information
Summary
A survivor from a California Cult Compound that arose after the Twins, Poe found himself on the front lines protecting a vast stretch of the california wilderness by creating a mass grave. Eventually Aztlan would infiltrate the compound and Poe found himself on the wrong side of a pair of blood mages, barely surviving the confrontation with the help of a PCC Federal Patrol that had eyes on the compound for months. Poe was given a pass and a PCC Identity but was recommended to get out of Socal given his history.
Nearly a year later and he has found a home in the Shadows of the Emerald City. Poe works as a detective with the Arcane eye when they get stumped on cases, teaches younger talented Magi how to make it in the streets, and does a brisk trade in smuggling, theft and wetwork for the Shadowhaven network, while trying to stay one step ahead of the corporations and the law and keep his girlfriend in tuna tartare.
Goals
- Continue his education with Raven, collecting knowledge on as many things as possible arcane and mundane, while initiating further into arcane mysteries.
- Continue to ingratiate himself to the local awakened community outside of Seattle, working with the Washington Wizards, and a gaggle of former Psions.
- Maintain his lifestyle outside of the shadows, ideally with a permanent purchase of his incredibly convoluted mortgage.
- Make friends with all of the free spirits in Seattle.
- Create a Smuggler network of his own, using his knowledge of David Cartel practices.
Background
Eldin Masters was designed to be "Perfect" in a basement lab in Southern California by his overly rich and powerful Horizon exec Mother and extracted former Aztechnology father.. One of who knows how many genetically modified babies in the first generation of Biochildren.The first ten years of his life were practically idyllic, growing up "In" the Fun Town amusement park in Los Angeles. Eldin's parents were always casual dilletantes about the area including the local popularization of cults in the wake of the Universal Brotherhood scandal. When the great quake of 69' hit Los Angeles, they took the cult quite a bit more seriously. Even moreso when Eldin awakened shortly after the quake. Eldin moved with his folks into a section of Angeles National Forest long held as private property by the obscenely rich or incredibly old California families in a bid to escape the corps altogether and live a more practical life.
As the years past the members of the cult dwindled, and Eldin did his best to simply remain on the outskirts, encouraged by his parents to use his abilities to join and eventually *be* the security team that patrolled the borders of the Cult's compound. He learned the majority of his magical practice from a Spirit posing as another adept of a similar mindset out on the boundary to wilderness. This approach worked better than any of the cult's training had managed to stick. Ultimately this would put Eldin on the bordergrounds of the cult compound when the PCC government raided it after ignoring it for years, on suspicion of Blood Magic infiltrators joining it. In the surrounding chaos Eldin did find himself beset by a few blood spirits and assisting the PCC who informed him after the fact he was in fact, a citizen, in the Annexation of Los Angeles, and allowed him to start a new life for himself.

Sticks When Poe first moved to Seattle he took a tough run in the CAS involving Sticks family, and in some ways they clashed on almost every level, magically, stylistically, willingness to deviate from the job for personal business, but by the end they brought the team through hell to come and continue to poke into each other's lives and help out from time to time.
Miut Poe met Miut when trying to come clean to the Arcane Eye about Koi and create some kind of resolution there. Little did he expect an incredibly pragmatic whirlwind romance that would slowly alter the course of both of their lives. Officially: "His girlfriend"
