NeoNet is not a company that exists today.
In the break-up of NeoNet, the department in which he worked got transferred over to Erika. He was deemed to be, whilst an asset of great value, also to be a major legal risk if Transys and Novatech found out, so he was sent out to operrate in secret and in the meanwhile develop protocols for drone combat. In such a position, he did work as a shadowrunner until he ended up joining Shadowhaven and still being kept secret until Erika's lawyers could figure out the work.
