Overview
Salvador "Sal" Ramone is a grizzled dwarf with a wicked sense of humor and wild white hair (all the more striking because he’s hardly old enough to have come by that color naturally). He runs "Up to 11", a large but cramped vintage music and memorabilia store in South Ballard. At any given time, the store has one or two employees who will mind the store while Sal leads a customer through a heavily secured door into the back room, "where the magic happens." Beyond the door is a large, comfortably appointed lounge area with a bank of monitors tucked against one wall, an automated bar, and a comfortable seating area. Two chairs and a large leather couch sit beneath a display holding Sal’s most prized possession: a late 1950’s Rickenbacker Gold 450 electric guitar once owned by Johnny Ramone.
