Summary

Jennifer is a former NeoNET Decker, who worked in Boston prior to the events of 2076.

She was being groomed to be presented to GOD as part of a convergence response team. Thus, her specialties included being mobile, being able to take care of herself in the field, and being especially deadly to personas. Her training is focused on boots on the ground style, and her various NeoNET supplied enhancements reflect that.

She despises being stuck in one spot, slumped over as a meatsack while doing her decking. She uses her EARRS whenever she goes into hotsim.

She is also pretty bloodthirsty when it comes to decking. She will always win at any cost. Other deckers are just meaty speedbumps in her way.

Goals

Jennifer has to move on from NeoNET and establish herself in the professional world. She grew up pretty spoiled, and so she needs to learn how to act on the mean streets of Seattle.

Jennifer wants to become a wolf among sheep in the Matrix. She grew a taste for (digital) blood while working for NeoNET.

She wants to increase her social network. Friends are more valuable than any high-priced cyberdeck.

Background

Jennifer was born in Boston to two very good professional decker parents. They worked for NeoNET as part of internal security. Jenn was sent to a good school, earned a degree in Software Engineering, and went to work for NeoNET like mom and dad. She became an internal white hat hacker for the Corp.

Prior to the events of the Lockdown, she was a promising prospect to be contracted out to GOD. She was very excited for this, and shifted her training to focus on what her new role could be, if she was accepted.

Her parents were on-site during Eliohann's attack. Jenn was not. She was visiting

Narrative Significant Qualities

Positive

Special Modifications - Kate has a history using various firearms and can customize them to be very effective.

Shoot First, Don't Ask - Kate is trained in close quarters combat and infiltration, providing her with the experience to handle surprising situations.

Common Sense - Kate always had good common sense. It has saved her life more than once.

Battle Hardened - Kate is a soldier. Even if she has been discharged, you don't lose the attitude.

Resistant to Pathogens and Toxins - Kate has a pretty hardy constitution from her military service, and years of eating bad food.

Jack of All Trades, Master of None - Kate has been dabbling in just about everything. This, coupled with her ADHD, will probably make it easier to learn things, but difficult to master them.

Tattoos and Scars

She bears numerous small scars from her service, but one stands out. A jagged claw scar extends from the base of her neck to her shoulder. This is where a ghoul grabbed her and cut along the top plate of her armor through the Kevlar. It healed, but left a very prominent scar. This can be seen if she wears a t-shirt. It can just barely be seen over the collar of an armored jacket or dress coat.

Kate has numerous tattoos as well. She has a full right sleeve that's very much CAS and military inspired. She has a SEAL trident on the back of her neck, but low enough to be concealed by a collard shirt. She also has a lunging shark on her left arm.

Clothing

Kate is a tall, fit former CAS Navy SEAL. She typically wears a black and grey knee length armor jacket with a Cavalier Evanator at her side in a concealed holster.

Kate in Full Body Armor looks like a typical CAS military Special Operator. The only insignia she carries is a small CAS flag patch on her shoulder. Loaded out, she has her FN HAR and grenade launcher on slings, microgrenades and ammunition strapped to her rig.

Katherine wears her old CAS dog tags usually, unless the job is REALLY sensitive. In addition to the two that are normally there, she has a red one that says "SPECIAL CARE NEEDED". A CAS soldier would recognize it as a mark of being a HMHVV carrier of any strain.

She volunteered for the SEALs when she was 19, completing training a year later.
