Summary
As a matter of satisfying personal desires all around, protecting business interests, and frankly establishing a much higher professional standard all around for the industry and practice of 'ware and surgery, runners collide against a particularly annoying member of the Yakuza in order to cut the serpent's head and enrich themselves by his death.
Asura puts on a maid outfit.
Background
Doc Mortimer was having a problem, a rather annoying one involving the local Yakuza. They were being emboldened, expanding their work into the business of cybernetics of all kinds, from shipment to installation. This was obviously bad for business, but more insultingly personally was how poor of a job they were doing. Giving actual docs like himself a bad reputation for their horrendous medical practice wasn't just going to hurt his profits, it was a smear on the good work he did for countless clients, and he was not standing for it. Thankfully for him, a local fixer named Bolt had been oh so kind as to refer a particular asset of his, Asura, to the clinic. She seemed like she was eager to get new ware and willing to do work for it. And so, in an alignment of interests, a team was then assembled to help make everyone happy.
The Meet
Doc Mortimer called Asura and the other runners - Cleaner Cleaner, Chance (who was using a holo drone and the matrix to attend), and Alkali - into attendance at his office to discuss the details of the job. After the awkward introductions the group shared at first, he made the matter quite simple for them. Kill the head of this new operation into his business, Katsu Yamazaki, before the end of the week when he would leave the country and be on high security afterwards. Unfortunately, beyond a photograph and his name, the good doctor didn't exactly have information on him, so the team had to do a lot of the fill-in-the-blank type of work deckers and magicians excelled at.
As Chance and Alkali worked to piece things together bit by bit, they pieced together the location of the mansion he was staying at, his defenses, and one vulnerability in particular that was quite fitting for the team that had been assembled: the maid service that Yamazaki hired out to do his housework, explicitly human for the sake of your typical class warfare kind of flaunting.
The Plan
Infiltration would be a matter of posing as some of the maids to be sent over to help around the house, with weaponry smuggled slowly through the given week. In order to do this, Chance would hack into the host of the company heading the work - affiliated with the Yakuza, if you could imagine - and forge information for Asura and Alkali to get in. Yes. Asura. While CC was already in the outfit, she was far more suited for both the smuggling from the outside to get weapons inside safely and secretly, and sniping from beyond the perimeters of the mansion to help in the ambush by possibly immediately killing a high value target. Asura meanwhile, while she wasn't exactly the most charming socialite in the world and certainly not a maid, was far better suited to the close quarters end of fighting and would benefit from sneaking in, getting close, and keeping pressure off of Alkali when they do spring into action. Besides, she's quite good at shutting up and taking orders, so it wasn't the hardest fit ever. Alkali was heading the infiltration on the social end of the ordeal, and also would be an effective lure to position the target and his bodyguards into a vulnerable location for the assassination. He could also keep their auras hidden effectively in case of prying eyes, and could provide support while the two heavier combatants took the heat off of him.
As for the actual kill itself, the plan was as follows: Chance infiltrated the host as CC set up on a sniping position facing a balcony outside. Alkali would lure the target and his personal security there with the allure of a lovely breakfast specially prepared for him. Asura would be waiting in the wings, assembling the AA16 that Alkali was kind enough to allow her to borrow for this little excursion to assault from up close and cut off the means of escape for the target. There were 5 major members of the security force they needed to watch for - 2 identical looking females (later discovered through legworking to be cyborgs) that served as personal guards to Yamazaki, a task mage that kept the place astrally secure with a fire spirit always waiting and ready, a rigger to man the patrolling drones and unleash hell upon intruders, and a spyder in the host of the house to keep an eye on the matrix. Chance could easily handle the rigger and spyder, and with CC in a good sniping position she could easily neutralize the mage before he became a threat. Then Asura and CC combined should be enough to take on the two cyborgs, and they had their man dead to rights.
For their getaway, Chance arranged some help from The Dukes to serve as getaway drivers once things got messy, taking Alkali and Asura across the waves of the beach nearby and away from danger. Assuming they covered their tracks well and didn't have any major hiccups, getting away was easily covered.
