Summary
The gang fought racially charged terrorism by blowing up a compound and assassinating Humanis activists with extreme prejudice, all backed by the UC of AS.
Background
Tir Na Nog had planned a meet with Mothers of Metahumans, for reasons only the Elves could understand, and chose to do so in the UCAS. For reasons only the Elves could understand. A cell of active Humanis terrorists took offense to this, and so made a plan to move against them. They subverted the security team and spent a week slowly manipulating the foundation to gain access to all the devices, and finally took control of the tower's optic network, to the favor of the Mages. The plan looked foolproof.
Unfortunately for Humanis, Colonel Lereau had finally found his old protégé; Wraith. And through her, a competent Runner team. Under the auspice of a secretive branch of the UCAS, he reached out to Wraith.
The Meet
Wraith had reached out to Estelle, who in turn reached out to Ardent. Estelle had also reached out to her favorite club proprietress and fellow fixer, Alessa P, who in turn brought in Gulliver. The three met with Colonel Lereau, who brought the team up to speed on the situation; they knew of a terrorist attack, tipped off by an anonymous figure, that would likely occur sometime tomorrow morning between 8 and 10 AM, and they ideally didn't want Tir Na Nog tipped off to the lacking security in the UCAS.
The team asked about the commlink of this anonymous tipper and were informed it was a burner 'Link, still in one piece. They were able to get the Liason between this shadowy branch and KE to release it into their hands, and afterwards the team went about tracking down the mysterious tipper.
The Plan
The team tracked the Commlink down to a strip club in Touristville, and from there were able to--narrowly--convince the Bartender that they had a Cousin who was about to do something really stupid, and they needed to find them before they did something they'd regret. The bartender told them it wasn't his shift but got the Runners in touch with the bartender that was present for that night. She, in turn, recalled a group that sort of matched the Runners' description--Including a man that had slipped away. Unfortunately, she couldn't recall many details, but did know that some of the fellows in the group were a regular of some of the girls.
After speaking with Latonya, the Ork stripper, they were able to track down a party location this Humanis group had been to. Upon going to the party location, they found--Perhaps to nobody's true surprise--A run down apartment, owned by a...Oddly eloquent Humanis political activist. He was not, however, one of the terrorists they were looking for and so, after explaining their situation and watching the man shed a tear in sympathy(It's worth noting that the elvish faces were, in fact, disguised as Humans at this point), he shared a drink in camaraderie. They rifled through his commlink and got a picture of their guy; Jimothy Tyler. Not the anonymous informer, but known to be in with the group of terrorists they were looking for.
Meanwhile, Wraith and Poe had done the rounds around the Tower, looking for potential spots for people to watch the building. What they found instead was a physical bypass to the tower's defensive optical network, leading into an abandoned apartment. Further examination found the place to be trapped to hell, with little chance of them being able to infiltrate the apartment building. In the interest of not tipping their hand, the group decides to leave a drone to monitor the scene and otherwise leaves the location alone.
Afterward, the gang tracked down and kidnapped Jimothy Tyler from the same strip club they had initially arrived in using Mind Magic and some quick talking. After mind controlling him, they were able to pull some info. Jimothy didn't know any of his fellow terrorists, only their Team Leader. He knew only his part in the plan; go up the tower, kill the security, install the explosives, leave. The team pulled the face of the team lead from his mind and sent him home with some Laes.
The Run
After using Search to track down the enigmatic woman, the team was able to track her down to a compound in the Redmond Barrens. Despite the heavy fortifications in place, amounting to several Force 6 wards protecting four watchtowers with overlapping fields of view and multiple guards in each surrounding a force 12 ward, the team decided to take the place by storm. A storm of shrapnel, that is. Wraith was able to ghost in to the compound and install explosives onto each tower, tamping them toward the guards and triggering them simultaneously. Between the sheer damage of the explosives and the horrific shrapnel, the guards were essentially deleted.
The result was near-immediate, but insufficient; six gun ports opened up and began opening fire on the surrounding area blindly. Wraith began picking off targets and Poe immediately had to move away as a Radar nearly gave away his position. His only saving grace was that Wraith had brought a scrambler with her, and so he was able to quickly move positions. This turned out to be timely, as four spirits manifested in his previous location, hovering back home after seeing nothing there.
Wraith systematically disassembled the defenses while moving positions frequently. Poe took out the other side to a degree, while his Guardian Spirit began eliminating the watchers. After a while, he turned his attention instead to the spirits that were trailing after his Guardian sluggishly and debilitated them before twisting two with Mind Magic to attack their summoners. That didn't last long before they were unsummoned, however, by that point it was too late; Wraith had eliminated the opposition.
The three remaining Mages inside the compound were surprisingly resilient, able to throw up a physical barrier and then retreat into the citadel in the center of the compound. While they'd summoned two spirits, they didn't have time to manifest before the team had debilitated the Mages with a potent illusion and some stick-n-shock rounds. This was *not* a simple situation, however; the Mages were miraculously surviving *everything* to this point!
And this resistance didn't end. Ardent was able to hack into their commlinks easily enough, though not without minor mishap, and pull the gist of the plan that the team leader knew. Gulliver, however, had to employ bloody persuasion to get the truth from her. The final picture was fairly optimistic; the runners had eliminated one of two fireteams. They knew there was Matrix support somewhere in the Tower, and that other than that the last group of resistance was a team of Mages.
Ardent once again was crucial for the next segment, as he was able to trace enough intel from the Host to tell that every device outside the Host but slaved to it also had a mark on it from a hacker. Further intel gave them an idea of what that Hacker's icon looked like. After asking Informer to track the Decker down, he was able to relay the Decker's location to Wraith whilst Poe took note of Informer's signature. Wraith did a quick wetwork job, simply shooting the man while he was asleep as it was 1 AM in the morning by now, and then headed to bed for a few hours. Poe, meanwhile, summoned a Task Spirit to help him bypass the bypass, then slept in the truck while he waited for go time.
When the Mages arrived, he immediately cast a force 10 fear spell on them, strong enough that they immediately fled the premises.
In that time, Wraith and Gulliver ambushed the last fireteam, swiftly dispatching all but one fireteam member, who miraculously survived almost an entire turn of fire.
Aftermath
The Colonel took care of the aftermath, ensuring KE played coverup rather than came after the Runners, and sent a message to Wraith to discuss potential employment avenues. Only the sniper knows what he promised...
