I didnt kill anyone! And we got away without really having to fight much. The security guards were sleepy and lazy, and we got really lucky that the battery Amrei wanted was right near where we entered the building. All told, a successful mission. That being said, I did start the day with a horned bear moving into my house. He ate a bunch of my food and ripped my front door straight off it's hinges. He's super cute and friendly though, I think I'll try to keep him. I've already named him Sir Cuddles, and it'll be nice to have some company up in the mountains. Plus im already attached. Summary
The team is hired to steal a prototype salt battery, which is some shiny new tech Ares is working on.
Background
Amrei Veidt wants that new tech and offers the team 20,000 nuyen to get it for her, in 3 days.
The Meet
The team meet the Johnson, and find out the specifics of their target from her.
The Plan
Acquire a truck large enough to remove the battery, obtain information on security of the lab, send Wölfin and Bannerette in to infiltrate and acquire the battery while the others would go in through the loading dock.
The Run
RC-45 started things off by doing some matrix searching and a host dive, and while the employment records were successfully grabbed, there was a bit of a scuffle with the host security. The team decided to wait until the final day, in order to allow them time to recover, and during that time managed to acquire an Ares truck and uniform to allow them to socially infiltrate the lab. Tupelo, RC-45 and Attention Please drove into the loading area, where Attention Please executed the one guard that was on that level, while Wölfin and Bannerette made their way to the roof of an adjacent building, and then leapt to the target building. Bannerette had some difficulty with the lock on the roof hatch, but eventually, Wölfin managed to use a micro-welder to cut through the latch, gaining access. Tehy ran into one very sleepy guard, and Bannerette kept him in her sights while Wölfin searched for the battery, finding it in the first room she looked in.
She loaded the battery onto a hand cart, and took the freight elevator down, Bannerette joining her on the elevator while RC-45 took care of the dog-brain drones that were trying to unload the already empty truck. There was a brief shootout once the elevator reached the delivery floor, with two guards and a water spirit, but the resistance was quickly quelled, and the team loaded the battery on the truck, and managed to talk their way past a KE patrol that pulled them over on the way to Tacoma. That final obstacle overcome, the team made it to the drop point, and got their payday.
Aftermath
Not much of note.
