Character Information

Summary

Erik is an attack Technomancer who spends more time sneaking around in armor than sitting inside an armored van. Seattle, being the wild west, has made him a bit more cautious about that though. It isn't the battlefield he is used to.

His greatest asset is the knowledge he has access too. Between The Helix, Angela, the entire Seattle Public Library, and his MET 2K contacts, he can find out almost anything he needs.

Goals

Erik needs to improve his physical skills. He no longer has an entire team of mercs to protect him, and must depend on his own skills.

He needs to establish himself in Seattle. He knows almost no local individuals except Mrs. Frost and Ameline. And Ameline is almost as new as he is in the area.

Long term, as a Technomancer, Erik seeks to learn more Complex Forms. He was tutored in MET 2000 by an old Sourceror and wants to follow in his footsteps.

Background

Erik is the son of Reinhardt and Genevieve Steiner. His father is currently a regional dispatcher for the MET 2000. He keeps tabs on his son, but stays out of his business. Erik emerged when he was only 4. His skills at maipulating technology were apparent early on. He was pegged as a future recruit for the MET 2K for two reasons. Firstly, he would be a valuable recruit. Erik's skills are developing rapidly. Second, it waws the only way his family could keep the dragon's claws out of their son. Everyone in the AGS knows that S-K's reach is far and wide.

Erik served on an HTR team with his best friend, Ameline Laurent. She kept him out of trouble, and kept him safe on the battlefield while he worked. Erik is calm and reserved in person, but bold and brash on the Matrix. He prefers less subtle methods to get the job done. His particular style of hacking isn't always called for, but can usually find a place on the modern battlefield. Erik spent most of his time in armor, behind the guys and girls with guns, instead of passed out in a van somewhere.

He took a break from regular mercenary work to travel. He keeps in constant contact with his father, but is currently on an inactive status with the MET 2K.

Narrative Significant Qualities

Better on the Net(Attack) - Erik's specialty.

Instinctive Hack - Combat reflexes honed through years of experience carry him far.

Ninja Vanish - Erik doesn't have a ton of finesse on the Matrix. He does have tricks, though.

Paragon(The Shooter) - Naturally, someone like Eric is drawn to The Shooter. The deep resonance has always been a mystery to Erik. But now that he has more free time, he wants to explore it more.

Prime Datahaven Membership(The Helix) - Erik has been a member for years. He spends quite a bit of time browsing the forums.

Solid Rep(MET 2000) - Erik is currently not an active member of the Company. But he can still call on old favors if he is in a bind. And he was well liked, even for a Technomancer.

Unique Avatar - His is very unique. A take on an old video game character from the late 1990's

Negative

Addiction(Mild) Psyche - Erik loves the stuff. More than that, he uses it frequently for work. He often goes off and on with light addiction to the substance.

Down the Rabbit Hole I - Yeah, it's easy to get distracted...

Lack of Focus - ...Easy because ADHD exists.

PSC Thrill Seeker - Eric is an adrenaline junkie. Part of the reason he fit into his role so well. He HATED being stuck behind as a hacker. It took quite a bit of convincing, but he was finally cleared for field operations.

SINner(AGS) - Erik's parents are natives of Essen. His mother is French, but moved there when she was young.

Taint of Dissonance - Now the bad stuff. Erik is a bit wild. He hungers for information, and power. Sometimes the trail leads him to dangerous places. The Shooter is not eager to lose such a bright and bold spark, so the powers that be seem to always lead him back to the side of order and Resonance. But the temptations are always there.
