Background
The combination of population bottlenecks and isolation, especially in eastern Finland, set the stage for what has come to be known as the Finnish Disease Heritage (FDH) — more than 35 recessive genetic disorders prevalent in Finland but rare elsewhere. After Mikael's parents emigrated to Seattle from Lahti Finland, they enrolled in Bio+, a Universal Omnitech research program for their progeny. Mikael was born two years later. The Bio+ program was a great success; an annoying allergy to wheat was a small price to pay as far as the Lehtisalos were concerned. 2074 - Silver medal (with Velma Combs), Seattle Metropolitan School District Ballroom dance (Por Una Cabeza) 2075 - Graduated Ballard high school, Enlisted in UCAS military. 2083 - Honorably Discharged, enters the shadows.
