Summary
This run was done as a request for Murmuring Brook in exchange for assisting Sticks in a previous run. Ducky tagged along and helped Sticks not get killed.
Background
Murmuring Brook wants to improve Everett and its waterways. In exchange for assisting Sticks, Sticks was given a marker to help cleanse a site later on.
The Meet
The meet was at a cheap diner between Ducky and Sticks before they began doing their investigations. They met up with Murmuring Brook and said spirit used Alter Memory to implant the memory of several places to investigate.
The Plan
There was no plan besides checking out what was going on.
The Run
They check out the first spot that was nearby and discover a defunct building that has been turned into a squatter hangout. Inside the building was a toxic shaman's shrine that was tainting the local mana. It was also disgusting and not safe to be around. During the day they went off to get some biohazard gear and cleaning supplies. Later that day when they came back, the squatters had arrived.
The squatters were arguing with the two until Sticks threw a lightning bolt. This intimidated the group and caused the mage who was hanging out with them to come out. Sticks talks shit and proceeds to take a punch to the jaw for his trouble.
A tussle ensues between the three with some magic thrown, a narcoject injector used and then finally with Sticks oversummoning a force 9 beast spirit. Said spirit proceeded to maul the toxic mage to death and scared the rest of the squatters into line. Ducky, using her leadership abilities proceeded to dress down the squatters like an irate mother and they complied. After cleaning the area, they summoned Murmuring Brook.
M.B. proceeded to create a power site aspected towards shamanism.
The beast spirit tests the leash and rolled edge, becoming a free spirit. Due to Sticks nature as a chain breaker and aspected towards beast spirits, said beast spirit holds a high opinion of Sticks.
Aftermath
The squatters get themselves scared straight and will try to improve their lives. Murmuring Brook is satisfied with the work done. Sticks now has a large horse sized beast spirit that will casually appear around him and Ducky made a new friend.
