She does not engage in cybercombat. She prefers legal means whenever possible but will resort to hacking when necessary.

Background
Janalyn Prows was born June 15th 2060 in Trenton Ohio. Her parents, William Prows and Lydia Hamilton are white collar workers now residing in Cincinnati. At an early age she took to computers and software like a duck to water. She was an excellent student (and matrix natural) from primary school through to a law degree from Stanford. In a misguided attempt to develop political credentials, she opted for employment as a public defender. The only good thing to result from her time as a defense attorney was getting to know DC Harry Metzger and Biggie Beefcake. Janalyn met Biggie while working as a public defender. He beat the rap. Chief Metzger was subpoenaed by her frequently; she learned that his distaste for court appearances was useful in getting charges reduced. After a year, she resigned and set up a private practice as a method of laundering money from shadow work.

It is a diverse area with historic homes and shopfronts, especially along Rainier Avenue, with its international mix of restaurants and cafes. Musicians perform at the 1917 Columbia City Theater year-round and in local businesses during BeatWalk festival (monthly Jun–Oct). Situated near the I-5 freeway, it offers convenient access to downtown and the airport via its light rail station. South of downtown Seattle, nestled between Lake Washington and Beacon Hill. It is recognized as one of Seattle's most culturally diverse neighborhoods, with a long history as a melting pot for various immigrant and working-class families. Discretion Assured LLC is a private investigation firm set up by Janalyn Prowse. It shares a commcode with Ambulance Chasers LLC, Janalyn's law firm.
