Summary
Buddhist temple experiences unusually high background count not of Buddhist origins. Pasiphae fixes the origin of the problem and connects with the astral world.
Background
Pasiphae saw visited by friendly spirit and right after she got a call about Buddhist temple in Puyallup requiring someone to investigate and fix the problem at the temple that arose when one of the keepers left.
The Meet
Meeting at the Buddhist temple in the morning after Pasiphae received a call from Adowa „Moria” Webster about them needing help, after reaching the gate she feels the presence of spirits after walking through the entrance and meets a single monk meditating after already finding a statue surrounded by trash and cleaning the place. Pasiphae didn’t know what her job exactly is, so the monk explained the situation in detail and send Pasiphae to investigate.
The Plan
The plan was simple, investigate the inner temple and its surroundings ,find what is causing the background count and eliminate the problem.
The Run
Pasiphae went straight to the inner mediation aria to investigate from the center outwards on the way turning the praying wheels and feeling a positive effect it has on the background count she knew what she needed to do, when she reached the inner mediation aria she heard a lot of noise and laughter seeing 3 yakuza hooligans having fun (talking in a language she didn’t know) surrounded by destroyed mediation aria. Pasiphae approached them and tried to intimidate them, but it backfires as the hooligans were really scared and went into fight or flight mode and decided to fight and pulled out their weapons. One of them surprised was immediately hit with the full force of Pasiphae’s kick sending them into the fountain behind, right after that the second yakuza member decided to make some space between them and the massive minotaur that just punch almost knock out their friend, but Pasiphae took this opportunity to strike them as they turn around sending them flying unconscious several meters away. After that, the last one decided to try the same as the last one but was luckily outside of Pasiphae’s reach and managed to wound her. Then Pasiphae tried to kick the last one standing, hit but not enough to knock them out and he retaliated after getting up, hitting but Pasiphae’s shield protecting her completely. The first hooligan got up and charged Pasiphae but was not successful and Pasiphae knocked both sending them both into overflow, she stabilized them immediately and tended to herself. She piked all of them up and took them to the monk that made sure to notify the authorities. After that Pasiphae went back to the fighting scene and made sure to clean all of the blood, clean using the cleaning supplies that were already there and put everything into place and when she finished, she felt the background count slowly returning to normal, but it was not enough. Then she went downstairs and saw that the fountain wasn’t functioning properly as she used her expertise in civil engineering to try to make it operational again, after cleaning out the blockage the fountain started to operate normally. Pasiphae decided to pert the rock fish statue and right when she did a water spirit that looked like a fish appeared in front of her and showed their gratitude, and Pasiphae felt that background count is almost fixed but there is still something to do. She decided to go around and when she was at the back, she saw a baby bird laying on the ground beneath a nest, and she tried to carefully pick out the bird. Mama bird thought Pasiphae wants to hurt her baby, but her beak didn’t bother Pasiphae at all, and she gently put the baby bird beck to their nest. After investigating she noticed a dirt path going to a massive tipped Budda statue and Pasiphae didn’t hesitate and lifted it without much issue and moved it to the right place, after doing so she noticed a offering platter and she knew she needed to leave some food but didn’t have anything suitable so she decided to forage for food in the nearby forest. She found a very tasty and valuable mushroom and left it as a offering and then started to meditate and she stayed there like that for 2 hours feeling the astral plain around her feeing a much deeper connection the world around her seeing all of the spirits flying around the temple. Finishing the job, gave the monk her com info and returning home with the new life changing experience.
Aftermath
The 3 yakuza hooligans were detained and charged with trespassing, property damage, possession of illegal weapons, and battery, but all the charges were dropped except for possession of illegal weapons due to no witnesses or sufficient evidence being present at the hearing with weapons being confiscated and only monetary charges being issued due to yakuza influence.
2 of the yakuza hooligans had to have emergency surgeries due to the severe damages sustained, internal bleeding and fractured skull, clavicle, and few broken ribs. With the last one only getting a concussion.
Pasiphae begun to experience the aster more and more with each day and quicky being able to control it without issue and started to lean how to properly assess.
