Overview

Hanzo was a soldier for the Kenran-kai during the Tempo war that decimated the organization. Not only did he survive but he managed to be one of those few who distinguished themselves with good results during the war which increased his status within the kai. He is fiercely dedicated to restoring the kai's honor, hoping that one day they can ascend to becoming their own gumi in Seattle. Outwardly he begrudgingly accepts the metahumans that the Kenran-kai have been forced to recruit to reinforce their forces but privately he believes that the New Way is needed for the Yakuza to hold their place in the harsh reality of organized crime.

He uses his role as a fixer for the Kenran-kai to screen potential recruits, see which ones have the smarts and toughness needed to survive.

Yakuza	Hanzo's dedication to restoring and solidifying the Kenran-kai gives him more than a bit of respect among the clan. His service during the Seattle Mob War is still remembered, and members of the Shotozumi-gumi are more willing to listen to him, recognizing the honor he displayed. +2 with the Kenran-kai, Shotozumi-gumi, and those closely related.
Personnel Management	Hanzo personally vets as many recruits to the Kenran-kai as he can for the necessary capabilities and character. This habit has left him with a good grasp of how to tell how much expertise one has in their field, as well as a knowledge of existing experts that might be called on to get something practical done. +2 for finding people with particular practical skillsets, such as mechanics, custom arms builders, ritualists, and so on.
A Man is His Oath	His time of war in the underworld and his loss of his previous honor has not bent Hanzo's steel, but tempered it further. While stern and unwilling to promise much, what he does promise, he will hold to the best of his ability. +2 to Loyalty tests, such as resisting coercion or blackmail. This does not increase actual Loyalty, and does not aid in actively performing tasks on a runner's behalf.
Street Warfare	What few gangs consider about open warfare is the sheer reliance on logistics. Hanzo, having experienced its strengths and failures during the Seattle Mob War, learned more than a few tricks for keeping himself and his men supplied - and he ensures they always remain ready for the future. +2 to locate conventional weapons, armor, and ammo, or their makers.
Fort Lewis' Neighbor	The nearby Fort Lewis provides a steady stream of UCAS soldiers looking to blow off steam and pay at once. Hanzo maintains a covert conflict with the Galucci family over Loveland, a mile of entertainment and amusement to catch those soldiers' attentions. Having eyes and ears on so many UCAS soldiers loosening their lips means, despite discipline, more than enough names and tidbits fall into his net. +2 to deal with or acquire from the UCAS Army.
