Summary
Ryuuji faced with an interesting proposal does all he can to rescue a former Japanese noble on the run from fellow Yakuza members in the CFS and bring her to Seattle.
Background
Fukushima Kimiko was a simple girl born to a wealthy Japanese family who was destined to marry a powerful member of the Yakuza. However a group of toxic cultists inspired by recent events decided to extend their worship towards the Fukushima power plant and cause a mana warp through their efforts that evolved into a short yet powerful mana storm that SURGE'd Kimiko. Now terrified of what her family, the Yakuza, and Japan as a whole would do to her now that she was no longer a simple Japanese human went into hiding. But after being reached out to by a powerful businessman from the UCAS she agreed to fly there for her safety, bringing her former and still loyal oni body guard Fujitora with her to the California Free State. But due to the intense presence of Yakuza extra backup was required to ensure her safe flight to Seattle.
The Meet
Ryuuji simply going about their morning routine received a mysterious DNI call with no sender nor information. Skeptical of the call Ryuuji asked who it was only for the person on the other end to offer a job and more details in person near Touristville in Redmond. On guard but willing Ryuuji went towards the indicated location where he was met by an interesting and over the top individual going by the alias of "Raytheon" who stated they were there to offer Ryuuji a job and his clan an offer. Intrigued Ryuuji inquired about more and Raytheon revealed a Japanese royal by the name of Fukushima Kimiko was on the run and his boss wanted her escorted here. Kimiko currently was hiding in Long Beach, a coastal city in the CFS. Upon consideration with his clan leader Ryuuji accepted the assignment and headed for Long Beach to escort Kimiko.
The Plan
Given the flight provided by Raytheon Ryuuji found his way to the bright city of Long Beach where scarcely was there anywhere not polluted by neon lights. All of it connected efficiently by roads and a large highway leading into and out of the city. Ryuuji stepping off of the plane and received the contact information of Fujitora to be able to find them. Ryuuji was also informed of a flight in an abandoned airport that would take him, Kimiko, and Fujitora to Seattle. Understanding this Ryuuji contacted Fujitora and informed him he was there to help him and Kimiko. Reluctantly believing him Ryuuji had to wait over 5 real minutes for Fujitora to read the sign of where he and Kimiko were currently residing, a diner simply known as the "Red Light Corner." Unbeknownst to Ryuuji however citizens of the city had noticed his Lapel on his white suit and as a result informed the local Yakuza.
The Run
Arriving at the Red Light Corner, Ryuuji found Kimiko and Fujitora awaiting him and were ready to leave before two red cars pulled up and Ryuuji went outside to investigate. After learning they were Yakuza Ryuuji quickly erased his memory of why he was there and conversed hoping not to reveal too much for Kimiko's safety. Tensions arose before combat became inevitable and fists flew. Fujitora aiding Ryuuji on the frontline while Kimiko used her newly found magical abilities to assist with small healing and attacks sprinkled amidst the two's onslaught. The Yakuza's muscle and guns proved a troubling encounter but through Ryuuji's skill, Fujitora's sturdy nature, Kimiko's magic, and a dented car, victory was achieved and the three headed into a car where as it turned out Kimiko was the only one that could drive. After giving her the coordinates they headed towards the abandoned airport. Unfortunately for the three upon arriving at the plane itself the Yakuza were already waiting with a cybered up warrior glaring daggers and declaring Ryuuji give up the girl. Unsure of what to do Ryuuji called Yoshinaga Chikana and asked what he should do. Advising that perhaps giving up the girl may be the safer option but more morally taxing the decision ultimately ended up in Ryuuji's hands who ultimately chose to fight for Kimiko's freedom. The Cybered Warrior then called him a traitor to all the clans near and far. The battle that followed this was intense. Fujitora dealing with the dedicated muscle as Ryuuji fought one on one with the cybered warrior. A volley of Yakuza gunfire pelting both Ryuuji and Fujitora all the while. Kimiko found safety to the side of the plane away from all of it and flinging as many spells as she could, managing to knock out one of the goons in the process. Barely standing on his feet after engaging the muscle Fujitora was knocked down by the fire of the Yakuza goons. Ryuuji knowing likely damaging the cybered warrior would have little affect chose to target their physical presence, their ability to react and move. Ryuuji struck again and again to varying levels of success. Same with the warrior as both were nearly at deaths door. Kimiko however rushed to the aid of Fujitora who assisted Ryuuji with his onslaught. With their efforts combined Ryuuji managed to land one final strike directly to the face of the cybered warrior removing their ability to move. With little effort the three threw out the remaining Yakuza goons.
Aftermath
Taking but a moment to breathe aboard the plane Ryuuji talked with Kimiko as Fujitora rested. The two conversing about what had happened both now and in their pasts. Ryuuji managing to piece together rumours of a powerful toxic cult not too far from Seattle whos influence may have expanded more than most have realized. Whilst Kimiko wondered if the Yakuza truly were worth salvaging. Managing to rest atop Ryuuji's hand before he easily slid a pillow in place of it the three finally managed to make it back to Seattle in one piece. Knocking on the plane window as it landed was Raytheon who greeted them back and congratulated Ryuuji on a job well done. Sending Kimiko and Fujitora on their respective ways Ryuuji was led to a private Limousine owned by Arma Remington himself who also sat inside awaiting a conversation with Ryuuji. While keeping the details vague he informed he had huge ambitions and wanted to recruit only the best of the best to help said ambitions come true. Himself thinking Ryuuji may be one of said best and ties to his clan would also be useful. Ryuuji skeptical inquired and tried to read Arma to little avail but was slightly reassured no malicious intent was aimed at the innocent. With that burden Ryuuji left but not before Arma stated that one day or another in Ryuuji's line of work one day his code may be put to the test and that the innocent may suffer regardless of what he does. With that reminder Ryuuji simply nodded and headed out. Giving Yoshinaga Chikana a good word Ryuuji headed home. Another job well done under his belt.
