General Style
-I tend to GM narrative heavy games with plots taken seriously, even when I do Pink Mohwak style games. Sometimes taking the funny stuff seriously is what makes it all the more hillarious in my opinion. I do tend to get deep into roleplay and sound effects during my runs as I love doing voices and being immersed in what I do. And while this is true do note I do also love having the mechanics reflect said run. If lighter in tone, combat or mechanics should not be a huge concern. But if serious, the threats will be up to par. I do also like delving into darker and more realistic themes of worlds and the implications there-in, but if not to the table's liking, they are ignored and skipped over. We are here for fun after all. I also love tying things into grander narratives. From metaplots to simply referencing another PC or two during the midst of a run. I love having a world feel connected and doing that really well... does it for me. As for tone the world of Shadowrun is very much our own, filled with highs and incredible lows. And given the status of things is likely slightly worse, but that does not mean it is without hope. You simply have to hold up your light to the looming shadows of the dangers, from the noticeable spirit to the towering megacorp. And if they spot you, be ready for what they have in store. I do tend to get overwhelmed when too much is going on or people dwell too long on a ruling. So, if possible please do try to resolve issues quickly to keep the momentum going so to speak. I do tend to flub for what seems most appropriate.
Declining
-I rarely if ever decline a player from hopping on in. Sometimes to my detriment but I do have faith in my ability to adjust runs accordingly on the fly to match the difficulty presented should a runner prove to be too powerful for the situation at hand. Though despite that I obviously do prefer players to be relevant to the events at hands. Such as a Rigger or Decker for more matrix or tech theme'd runs or mages and adepts for more spirit based shenanigans.
Derailing
-In my past as a GM I had to improv an entire multi session arc dealing with a demon cult and the Fae Mafia... if anything going off the rails is more my style than staying on it surprisingly enough.
Cause And Effect
There was indeed consequences -As stated in General Style, I like to take worlds seriously and the people there-in serious as well. Obviously the average Runner is leagues above Steve working at McHughe's, but even then a bullet is a bullet and a fireball is a fireball. There are always bigger fish out there in the world that can pose a challenge and the enviorment should reflect that as well. If the runners notice I made a genuine mistake and point it out to me, I will gladly backpetal and most likely take it back. However if I have given warning and they still choose to head forward into the danger. At that point it is up to RNGesus and their wit if the runners make it out alive.
PVP
-I am not opposed to PVP in the slightest and at times believe it to be some of the most amazing examples of RP out there provided both players are still alright out of character. However, if it seems malicious in nature ooc, or outright selfish and would ruin the fun for the rest of everyone involved, I will request/demand that it be put to a stopped and a de-escelation of the tension at hand.
