Background

With their efforts paid off and the threat of the MSH now palpable. Gigabite, Six, and Eidolon ready themselves for the final battle. See Who can say no to this face, part 1 for context

The Meet

After receiving the support and information provided by Arma Remington, Gigabite and the other runners ready themselves for the upcoming threat of the MSH and their hunters that ready themselves for an assault. Multiple calls are made to allies with varying levels of success, Gigabite attempting to call in a favor with Orianna Cazador, who despite Gigabite's efforts and way with words simply in the best way they could said "Yeah ummm, no." And hung up on the ghoulish girl. Though not too long after Pumpking Jack decided to make themselves known and offer their own form of aid thanks to Gigs' efforts in the form of 4 spirits that resembled him but more childish as he simply named them "The Pumplings." Happy to receive this aid she wished Pumnpking farewell as he returned to prepare for the spooky month just around the corner. Afterwards she called upon one final ally, Blaine Hammond, leader of the GLL. Whoa fter explaining her ploit sent over members of the 162s he was in contact with. Meanwhile Eidolon called upon a familiar ally in the form of Bolt, who after a little bit of persuasion agreed to send over some of his snipers to aid them should the time come. Whilst Gigabite and Eidolon made their calls and requested favors Six managed once again to reconnect and chat with Tessen and her fellow Ancients as they arrived. Six managing to break up a fight between one of said member and Silverjaw who had less than savory opinions of them. After calming the tension everyone got in their respective position but not before Gigabite was given a nice donation of 15 kilos worth of C-4.

The Plan

Having reinforced the warehouse over the past few days via drones and hard work via the ghoul's, the base itself was as ready as it could be but the perimeters were now another story. Walking around the perimeter Gigs was able to set out in wait multiple traps of C-4, trenches concealed by the pumplings for the members of the 162s sent as well as some basic Ghoul reinforcements in said trenches. The pumnplings also in charge of setting up chaotic barriers giving all allies with clarity while disorienting their enemies. The snipers sent by the West Coast Monolith were sent a decent degree waywards towards the southwest of their base. With everyone in place atop the roof, in the trenches and simply inside waiting for the proper time to strike, everyone simply waited as the night passed on.

The Run

Around the time of sunrise the hunters finally made themselves known with drone enforcements up front. Eidolon and Silverjaw taking pot shots at the drones they could manage to as the enemies drew in closer. An Ares roadmaster and two hunter atop bikes in front and the same coming from the south. To the west however a group of mafioso vehicles also gave chase in the assault. Once the fighting got closer and within proper ranges the others began opening up fire as well, taking out the drones and pot shots at the hunters arriving on the motorcycles. Upon arriving close enough the hunters were met by the beauitful volley of explosives that were detonated by Tessen and Gigs. Sending multiple vehicles flying and leaving several hunters injured. Alarmingly most of them remained... mostly in tact. But that did not detour the runners as the fighting continued at their front door which was greeted by fire spirits. Chaos ensued as snipers battle snipers, spirits battled men, and the infected fought tooth and nail. The main hunter however was spotted by Six as he made himself known by managing to tank the explosion like nobody's business whilst his two elite backup also tanked the blow. The main hunter then planted explosives by the eastern wall. Six seeing this threw the explosives away towards a mage who managed to run away before suffering the consequences of the blast. With that came an idea as the fighting unfolded. Brock/Tungsten and Miles engaged the leader in melee combat. Both of them becoming nearly gravely injured in the process as the lunatic swung their twin axes again and again at the pair of men. Miles' claws and the spirits using all their power and might to slow the hunter down. Miles falling in the process, nearly dead in two strikes. Six after engaging with a fire spirit grabbed one of the perimeter explosives and charged back towards the lead hunter whos gazed was fixated on a now taunting Gigabite as he literally threw his axes at her. A strike badly injuring her as she simply stated "you missed." As Six then managed to attach one of the explosives to the hunters back. Diving atop of Miles to survive the blast as it went off, taking out the corner of the building and nearly her as well as the hunter stood still for but a moment. His rage seemingly keeping him up before he slumped over dead. His metallic spine and back completely exposed as he fell to the floor dead. AFter one more close call with Gigabite's life and persuasion via spirits the MSH hunters retreated through an exit they knew was safe. With a surprising turn out and only 4 dead they celebrated as they rested. Though... after patching up the holes in the walls so they would not burn as the sun rose.

Aftermath

Amidst the well deserved calm the group chopped up what bodies remained to feed the ghouls. A quick look over of their equipment found themselves a commlink Tessen sent to her friends to be decoded. Words were said and rests were had before Tessen looked back to Gigs and Six with horror on her eyes as she revealed to them a document. The MSH had been doing reconnaissance on nearly every infected in Seattle with the notable figures added to the list. Most of them being members of the Shadowhaven itself. Six having to hold her composure as an old lover was also found on said list. Gigs then called Blaine informing him of the victory and deaths of the 162s caused by the fire spirits. She then stated stated it was time to start something. To turn this warehouse and small settlement into something greater for all of Ghoulkind and metahumanity as a whole. The Warrenguard has just began. This conflict, this now seeming war was far from over. But with victory having been achieved and the potential for a better future now just within reach. The runners then rested. Awaiting whatever may come next.

Six of Hearts

I gotta hand it to Gigs... she really knows how to show a girl a good time. Granted, I'm writing this with my pain editor on while I am STILL recovering from probably the stupidest thing I've ever done... I mean... running up to the bad guy with two kilo's of high grade C4, slapping it on his chest, and bear hugging him so the blast won't hit my downed teammate but rather be deflected off of my armor and back onto the bad guy is a pretty crazy move. But it worked... so. yay... and ow.

Eidolon

The MSH sure were determined to kill or cripple these civilians and the operation here. My contribution pales in comparison to the others, though getting Bolt to dispense aid to the ghouls here and supplying explosives to set up perimeter defenses definitely smoothed things out. The more of these shadowruns I see, the more I wonder whether I need to fear explosions as much as I do. Between Kate and Six just hugging people at point blank and surviving... maybe explosions are so lethal?
