Summary

After a death in a patient's family, Dr. Nina Farraday is asking runners to find and clear safehouses for an infected family to live.

Background

Dr. Farraday works helping infected patients who are unable to hunt or otherwise sate their hungers. Perhaps they don't think they can pace themselves, perhaps they're a family with children. Whatever their need, Dr. Farraday wishes to help those in need. On a previous run to extract a mother and daughter, the mother was shot by an opposing Telestrian sniper. Leaving the daughter an orphan, Farraday helped her be placed with their Mother's sister and brother in law. They needed a new place to live, so Farraday asked the runners to help clear some safehouses.

The Meet

Red Ribbon was called in by Nina first so he could talk with Ribbon. Nina was concerned about Ribbon's health given the traumatic events of the week past. After a conversation trying to lift Red Ribbon's spirits, the team met with Farraday, and after negotiating they decided to set off to check out the safehouses.

The Plan

The runner team decided to do some matrix searches to check out the houses. The safehouse in Redmond was defunct and destroyed, the safehouse in Auburn seemed promising, and the safehouse in Puyallup seemed dangerous, being two houses with both Yakuza and and more Princes. From there, they decided to check out the Auburn house, and then the Puyallup house.

The Run

The Auburn house was quickly discovered to be infested with devil rats. After dispatching the rats, the team were beset by two Fenrir Wolves. After cleaning up, they found the house to be in pristine condition, and a search on the net supposed that the property was lost after an accident, and five more properties were in similar conditions.

The team then headed to the Puyallup safehouse where they found and started to check the buildings out. After starting to take out the Yakuza and Princes, the runners caused a firefight between the opposing factions, who ended up mostly wiping eachother out, except for one prince who, upon realizing he was the only on left, ran away to spend the rest of his days on his own accord.

A quick search determined that these houses were in prime condition to be used as safe houses.

Aftermath

The runner team returned to the clinic to offer their findings and get paid. Dr. Farraday asked Red Ribbon aside and offered a short trideo of the new found family offering thanks to Red Ribbon, and by extension Bleach as well.

Player After Action Reports (AARs)

Walter: "I will say, Dr. Faraday is a much more interesting character than the report lead me to believe. I know why, and he has my sympathies. However, I will say I'm elated that he chose to put his life's work into people usually hunted for sport."

Bumble: "I'm glad to have found the good doctor. I've spent far too long skulking the shadows for a meal, at least now I know I'll be feed well. He seems like a really good egg, and his connection with Seattle's infected offers a good opportunity for an ally as well.

Red Ribbon: "The doctor was kind to give me a chance to make up for the mistakes of last run, and I'm glad to have delivered in full this time. I won't forget this - not the kindness he's capable of showing, nor the people we helped to re-house. I'll be on the lookout in case the clinic needs more help in the future, because that's the least I can do, I think."

Setter

Well, that went reasonably well. The situation's not sustainable without more work, but it's better than nothing. I hope the doctor's doing well. He's, uh, loopy.
