Feeling Roasty Toasty?
Fennec's Stream
Date: 19 May 2085 By: Fennec
"Hi hiiiiiiii, KuroFennec deeeesu! So chat! I wanna show you something neat! Well, actually, I can't. Sad! But I do have something you'll want to find!"
The fox is looking pleased as punch, as ever. The soot-covered tips of her ears twitch, her eyes filled with malice. Of course, that effect is fairly literal here - faint anger symbols are appearing behind her head, too.
"I got the chance to do something really fun! And I think you'll want to take a peek at the up close view of the action! Here, peek at this news!"
A twitch of the tail sends an AR feed flickering into view on the stream - scraped footage of a bar burning down by Bitter Lake. Out of the front emerges a figure in a fancy coat, playing with a yo-yo - a pair of towering ears atop her head, a big fluffy tail swishing contentedly behind her. She casts a wink to the camera, hand coming up to do a peace sign over her eye as a second figure that's a third of her height comes out - also with a big, bushy tail. The pair talk for a couple moments, then move down the street, the fox plucking a couple of syringes from her jacket as she goes. The fox's persona reappears a moment later.
"Glorious and cute even after a battle, right chat? Gyahahaha. Now, I know what you're thinking~ 'Fennec, you can't trick us, that isn't you.'"
Chat, naturally, devolves into the usual argument over whether the 'mystery foxgirl' is indeed Fennec.
"Well, I've given up on that! Nope! Not for me, not anymore. So that person in the picture is, uh - what'd the card say again?"
Up comes a notecard with a few names scratched out on the back.
"Was it Penny? Sam? Connie? I dunno~ But that's definitely not me walking out of a burning 'weener bar! And whatever happened in there was definitely self defense. A dozen of them and only two poor street samurai with monowhips... I'm so surprised they made it out! After all, you never know when one of them's gonna try to burn you alive! Whether on the meat or on the matrix! And I'm sure you remember those ex-treme-ly funny BTLs that keep getting circulated of me, right chat?"
Her smile freezes up a little, and she notes,
"I've seen them all! Even, and I'm quoting a real 'weener here, where burning is 'just the ending!' So like - this isn't an advertising segment, because BTLs are illegal and I'd never, ever do anything illegal!"
"... But if you lost somebody in their little 'rage night' a couple weeks back, you should check out a new dreamchip called 'Fox Tricks and Squirrel Treats!' You'll love every second, promise!"
The matrix fox's laughter is echoing long after the segment ends.
