Summary
Ace powers had his legs broken as a good old fashioned Scraacha message, in the middle of his own Christmas party.
Background
In Bury The Needle Bury the Lead we saw Ace Powers get a little over excited about a dwarf he had been tasked with heading up the A&R on but given minimal information. Ace did not know this would set him afoul of his co-sponsors and event runners for Or'zett Underground. Crime Time was not impressed with unliteral action and sent Kirby Fangsbreath himself to send a message to Ace, in the middle of Ace's Christmas party.
For months, Crime Time has been using the Shadowhaven network through intermediaries to hire a slate of new talent to headline the 13th Annual Or'zett Underground. Crime has been largely hands off, and letting the hotelliers and media people get his list together and follow his instructions. But when Ace Powers deviated from the plan, and risks exposing one of the new headliners there are deep and serious plans for, Crime freaked out a bit and demanded the Underhaven Staff get a bit more aggressive with the horizon people. In CT's words "Sometimes you gotta be a nasty trog..."
The Meet
The team get set up by various contacts and fixers for a meeting with Hamish at the Underhaven itself. They find their way into the northern underground and the lit path that takes you to the Grotto the hotel sits inside of. They find the people movers (which were installed about two months ago) and took them to the front of the palatial property, where Hamish' assistant Amanda was waiting for them with a sign and a club car.
They took the team to the hotel proper, where their security mage Juniper took a hair to add Stacy and Dez to to the hotels' "Soft Open" wards. The team is taken to the Suite that Hamish uses as an extended office and offered their pick off the menu for the hotel restaurants. Hamish explains the situation and that his employer will be along shortly. As promised, Kirby Fangsbreath and a very brief AF Cameo from Crime Time himself lay out the severity of the Producer's situation.
Kirby, unflappably but somewhere in between inconvenienced and embarrassed by the situation, has a very polite chat with the team about the nature of the job and his expectations, settles on a price with some additional favors negotiated by Stacy and excuses himself. Hamish makes the rest of the arrangements and leaves the team with the room to plan in.
The Plan
After Stacy reaches out to Bodie Jay and fails to get ahold, they realized that "doing all the drugs" was probably a secondary plan and laid out the following plan.
The Plan: Sneak Ducky into the catering staff Ruin their night Sneak stacy+1 into party with a scavenged ticket. Dose everyone with woad. Start a fight between patrons and watch that get out of hand fast. Bring up johnson to deliver the message "FLash pack while delivering is happening" escape from 48th floor profit
