Character Information
Summary
Goals
Impress the Master - Ares made us, grew us, raised us. Ares holds the leash, we must prove our worth.
Hunt Well - It was built in, bred in; It is in our code, and DNA. There is nothing like the thrill of the hunt, I must bloody my teeth.
Protect the Pack - There were other packs before this one, other dogs I hunted beside, but now there is only Bravo Alpha. I will do better this time. Not this time, this pack will last.
Grow Something Beautiful - I have traveled the world, and in all that time, I have seen only war. There is one place I have seen a lasting beauty, and it is in plants, growing defiantly where life withers. I like plants.
Background
The Typhon Project
Every pantheon needs its monsters, and project Typhon was Ares Macrotechnology’s attempt to make their own. The project worked to create a series of cyborg soldiers that could be grouped into loose squads and set against targets too risky, delicate, or morally dubious to trust human operators.
Each unit created was given a designation based on its role in the project (Alpha - Omega following the greek alphabet) and how many units before them have filled the role (Alpha - Zulu following the NATO phonetic alphabet). Bravo Alpha is the second cyborg to hold the “Alpha” role. Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta were designated to be heavy support weapons, called “Gigantes.”
The Gigantes
Walking tanks, unstoppable giants, titans made real. The Gigantes were created to answer a problem: How do you bring a tank to your target’s living room? In a world where the bad-guys don’t draw up battle lines, but blend in with civilians, striking from tight alleyways and crowded apartment blocks, the Gigantes were intended to be armor for a modern battlefield. Lightweight enough for room-to-room combat, tough enough to take a direct hit from an RPG. The latest in urban pacification solutions.
One of the first creations of the Typhon project, and also one of the strangest, the brains that went into the Gigantes were an in-house creation, down to the very DNA. Ares scientists wanted to create the perfect soldier - loyal, unquestioning, and effective, but without the need for intensive conditioning to create those traits. To this end they turned to an unconventional source: Dogs. Traits that usually need to be beaten into a metahuman have been pre-bred into dogs over 15,000 years, and Ares researchers believed they could retain these traits while enhancing the intelligence of their creation enough to effectively follow orders. DNA sourced from Canis Lupus Familiaris, along with Homo Sapiens ingentis and a host of other genetic sources were combined to create the template brain from which all further Gigantes would be made, a chimerical creation of corporate science.
And the experiment proved wildly successful. The cyborgs they created had the loyalty and prey drive of a dog, while still clever enough to follow orders effectively.
Field Testing
After promising results in VR simulations, the Typhon project began field testing their first batch of monsters. The Gigantes would prove effective, by the time Beta Alpha was deployed his squad mates- his pack, had already successfully deployed in multiple engagements across a variety of battlefields. From the tundras of Yakut, to the deserts of Aztlan, from the streets of Berlin, to the jungles of Amazonia, the Gigantes battled Ares’ enemies. Again, and again, and again. Insurgents, corporate soldiers, rebels, gangs, and anyone else who the Ares corporation might want eliminated, so long as it was a hard enough target to collect good data from the carnage. And that it did. Every fight was recorded, scrutinized, and picked apart by corporate suits and scientists. Their progress was analysed to improve the next batch the project would make.
That's what life was for the Gigantes. Conflict, and tests. Their only human contact was with people shooting at them in the field, or poking at them in the lab. They became an insular and fatalistic group, knowing the only constant one was another. Even then, every few missions another didn’t come home, replaced by a fresh brain in a new shell.
ATLAS
This was the world Beta Alpha was “born” into. It was a world of conflict, where he and his siblings were made only to fight and die. He came to accept this, in that same, silent way the others did, striving to protect one another and weather the bad hand they were dealt. When he joined the old hands, he learned from them, through warbly DNI chatter in the heat of battle, they advised and directed him, and he would their own replacements, when the time came. Soon enough, he stopped being the welp, and became a full member of the pack, and as time dragged on and more siblings fell, he became the old wolf who advised. It was never official, never acknowledged, it simply… was.
He knew there was a world beyond war, a world where people lived normal lives, did things other than fight, but only because he caught fleeting glimpses of it in the places he and his squad upturned. The wonders of this more peaceful world were alien to him, art, music, literature, beyond what he saw through the flames and what his masters thought necessary to do his job, it was alien and fleeting. It made him bitter, reminded him of what he was denied, even if he never quite knew what that was.
And yet, Beta Alpha would find beauty in one thing: plants. Wherever he went, plantlife bloomed in defiance of the chaos around it, as beautiful and resilient as it was before he arrived, and continued to be long after he left. He longed to understand them, to cultivate them, to be like them.
He would get his chance, when after years of ceaseless battle he was finally pulled from the field, put on ice with his surviving siblings, and shipped off to Seattle. Project Typhon was ready to move on to its next phase, its first creation, the ATLAS units, were a success.

| 1 | A titan from greek mythology, who was tasked by the gods with using his immense strength to hold up the sky and protect the world. |
| 3 | No direct online presence can be found, but a full-conversion troll matching his description shows up across a few pictures and videos online- mostly expressing surprise at seeing the iron giant showing up in plant and garden shops. |
| 6 | A few burner social media accounts on niche messaging boards show up that seem to be traced back to ATLAS, most of which are either dedicated to gardening or veterans, with the former typically lasting longer. Little to no posts on either. |

| 1 | A new runner, at least to the Seattle scene. Described as looking like a walking tank, and soaking up bullets like one too. |
| 3 | Not exactly the most social, you might call him the "strong silent type." Not the smartest, either, but dedicated to the mission. Ex-military type, maybe? |
| 5 | Rumors of Ares affiliation, nothing concrete but it's likely he at least served in their security forces at one point. Not human, not anymore at least, if he ever was. |
