Summary

This was actually just a hit on some guy because Charon's pride and sadism couldn't handle that an Ahri No-Lifer was better than her boosted account lookin ass. And the team complied. Holy shit.

Background

So Charon. Crow of Seattle, former shadowhaven member, dangerous all around social adept who could also break you in half. Former vampire, current retiree and enjoyer of the high life. She's doing her best to enjoy life, and she wants to experiment with hobbies like Zurich League. Now, the Crow of Seattle isn't going to waste her time just scaling the ladder when she's obviously at the top already. No, she buys an account and gets to her rightful pla-

She got her ass whooped by an Ahri. Yes, Ahri is somehow still a thing, the 6th world is dystopian like that.

So, a normal person would be hurt, say mean things, go cool off, try to forget it, right?

Not Charon. No, no this person needed to die for the sin of being better at her in a trideo game. Which is ludicrous, but she's also filthy rich, a sadistic fuck, and a black lodge eccentric. So...yeah she hired shadowrunners...god.

The Meet

The team was told to meet with "A former colleague" in a penthouse over in Bellvue, speaking to the secretary up front first before going up the elevator to have a chat. Despite being a bunch of freaks as their Client and J would so politely put it, they managed to be normal enough, at least for this place, and made their way inside and up the elevator. Valvravn was already skiddish because of being in a triple A zone, but Roadkill insisted that if this were a former colleague they'd be fine. And Ren was just being polite and quiet in the elevator waiting for them to get up. And when they did, they saw that the elevator led to a singular room down a hallway like a bad horror movie. And Valv could hear the sound of glass breaking and some VERY strongly worded complaints about a 90 year old wine being taken and consumed so...good start.

Their J, Charon, emerged with a concussion that she healed off very quickly after being punished for her hungover crimes. She was also pantsless so...wow that was a start. Roadkill gave his coat to her as they were going to have to go elsewhere for the meet and she could buy clothes later (she did not give back the coat) and after going to Dante's (they had to LEAVE cuz she was BANNED) they went to the Taco Temple next door. Charon got vendor pants and they...got food and shot the shit as she got changed and went to the bathroom.

The meet itself? Very fast. The crew was not entirely sold on icing a guy who just beat a girl in a game, but "shut up, here's 10k up front and another 10k for a finished job" is a pretty good way to get people to do what you want. She gave them a User ID, and they left. Time to go geek a geek.

The Plan

They didn't have much to go off of, but the user ID should let them get more info and a chance to track this dude down. Once the location was ascertained, then Roadkill and Ren could work physical while Valv handled things online. They get an in, get a dead man, and get out. Easy money!

The Run

Finding the guy was an easy, if pride-hurting task. All Valv had to do was wait in the Zurich League host, look out for this guy's UID, and then get a mark so she could trace him.

This took more effort than believed possible, she is still struggling to come to terms with that, but regardless.

After that fiasco, they tracked the guy down to a pier in Ruston, Tacoma. He was on a boat, with a lot of security devices keeping an eye on the residential spot and guards on duty. Valv got on the host and cleared the way - tripped an alarm on the host but not actively getting herself or the team compromised - and circumvented a good chunk of the monitoring devices by subverting infrastructure and looping camera footage as she staved off ice with her code. Meanwhile, Ren and Roadkill pulled off the most insane work sneaking up to the boat and somehow avoiding three cameras, the drones, and the guard coming up to check out the area because of the alarm. This led to the cleanest kill on a dude (who had an anthrodrone Ahri that was...sticky, gross) with a suppressed gun this side of the coast since...well probably not that long ago, in Seattle.

AND THEN THEY JUST SNUCK BACK! LIKE IT WAS NOTHING!

Frankly, the team got away with murder in multiple ways that day. For a day where they got 20k cash, they made it look a lot easier than it was. Really, they got away with so much just sneaking up there.

Aftermath

Simple as, one less Ahri Main.

Charon was pleased and paid em online since they didn't wanna show up in person, and the freaks dispersed with Valv "politely" telling Roadkill to stay away from her pretty please mr. doctor sir.
