Summary
New runner Heron arrives in the Seattle exclave on the lamm with the support of her native Seoul-Incheon Megaplex (SIM) shadow haven known as 그늘(Shade), but the Matrix-savvy group is a closed and tight-lipped community, particularly to foreigners. She meets her UCAS contact and fixer, Whistleblower, briefly. From there she is driven to The Forbidden City restaurant to meet her new handler, Fang Wenyang and her brother who will serve as her maintenance crew while she is in the UCAS also.
She helps complete her requisition list by shepherding the nephew of the Fangs back to the restaurant from a seedy underground fight ring. Shadow community information on him is conflicted, but it is not the most pressing thing on the newly arrived runner's mind. Strange Glitches that began in Korea are starting to ramp since she touched down on UCAS soil, and between encrypted files no one can crack and some odd anomalies in her diagnostics she may face more than external battles here while she works to pay of the favours she gave chips for in order to escape the heat back home.

> Heron's diagnostics reveal both a series of Glitches and some potential anomalies, which Fang's brother will review with Fang and the Korean haven (Shade's) contact, Navigator. Heron can expect to receive further diagnostic information/interpretation in future.
