Summary
Runners steal back a truck containing a PAB unit for a psionic whackjob.
Background
Dr. Ridley Matsui, a former psychiatrist turned psionic weirdo, is working to build a "self-improvement organization" that's definitely not a cult. Unfortunately, a PAB unit they were having smuggled into Seattle was lost when some Ancients hijacked the truck it was being delivered on. They want it back, before the gangers figure out what they have and either break or sell it.
The Meet
The runners meet their J at Matchsticks. They're very cagey about what exactly has been stolen from them, only describing it as a large piece of medical/simsense equipment. The runners fail to figure out what exactly's going on here, but they agree to take the job and head out to Puyallup to the last known location of the stolen truck.
The Plan
The runners go scope out the last known location of the truck in Puyallup. It's no longer there, but they do find the driver's body dumped in a ditch and plenty of skid marks. A local wild spirit saw the attack, and shares that the truck was attacked by a bunch of Ancients bikers. Between the tips offered by the spirit and more mundane methods of tracking, the team finds out that the truck is being held by the gang within a walled trailer park compound.
