Character Information

Summary

Jenny Glitz (alias "glitzkrieg") is a decker who lives in the San Francisco Metropolitan Complex. Her hardware is fairly limited for now, but she makes up for it when she can with social engineering.

Alignment

Red Trenchcoat: Jenny is wholly based on not getting caught, relying instead on other team mates or quick thinking in the event something goes wrong for her. She is a staunch anti-fascist and is raring to take jobs against groups such as Humanis or corporate interests. She will not take jobs or pursue courses of action that hurt people who do not deserve it within this moral framework.

Goals

  • Fight corporations, bigots, governments, and any other oppressors.
  • Get a better cyberdeck.
  • Impress the local metahuman community.

Background

Jenny Glitz was the child of wageslaves, growing up in the margins of the JIS-occupied San Francisco sprawl until the Imperial Marines marched on CalFree. Her family tried to keep a low profile during the war. As humans who were not actively participating in the genocide of metahumans, they were largely left alone by the Protectorate and the resistance factions. When Jenny reached adulthood a few years after the war ended, she came to understand the atrocities that had been committed around her in greater detail, and she was overcome with a crushing guilt that she hadn't contributed to the resistance somehow despite being a child at the time. She tried to help the remaining resistance factions that were still taking anti-corporate and anti-racist action, but she was inexperienced, and the metahuman community had an understandable mistrust of humans. Since then, she's developed into a black hat hacker who scams and blackmails her way to valuable corporate data and money. She hopes to impress neo-anarchist factions and do some real good, but despite her growth, her humble origins have left her with low-quality hardware that holds her back.

Narrative Significant Qualities

  • Matrix Troll: Hacking is one of the few things that gives Jenny a sense of control in the world, and she loves fucking with the people she hacks.
