Background

Two years prior to the current events, Dorothy was involved in a vehicular crash. In the backseat while the grid seemingly fried itself, her vehicle spun out of control and had a collision with another car. Her vehicle was flipped upside down and she slowly crawls out holding her ribs in pain. Limping away from her car, it explodes. The explosion bursts her eardrums leaving her partially deaf. Standing up and looking back at her now destroyed vehicle, she spots an unusual lump of flesh a few meters away. Her right arm. As she glances to the stump that is her shoulder, she passes out.

Dorothy awakes in the general hospital with a new cybernetic right arm and a rather large medical bill.

Not believing the Knight Errant reports of a freak crash, she began to investigate the cause of her crash all the way going indebt with fines and insurance claims turning up as rejected. The end of her trail found her in a matrix den full of BTL addicts. One individual stands out as they appear cognitive. Orange tears and a miasma of sparks shoot from them, engulfing Dorothy.

A new understanding of the Matrix, a revelation of the Matrix being a veil to something beyond, both spiritual and mechanical. Shortly after this encounter, her commlink is buzzed. She's not safe. Meet at these coordinates and destroy your comm now.

An hour's drive to an abandoned factory in Renton goes quietly. Upon arriving at the GPS coordinates, she is held at gunpoint by an Elf, introducing herself as Ms. Kane, and her colleagues inform her that the young Nocturna needs money and also needs to vanish. The two years under Alice Kane's service, Dorothy has become E.V.A and honed her abilites with the Resonance realm. Alice now believes she's ready to be a shadowrunner.
