Summary

Mirage is a long range sniper who uses her high agility and stealth to constantly move around the battlefield and remain unnoticed.

Goals

She wants to be able to afford a luxury lifestyle to retire to.

Background

Born a Nocturna Elf, Laura lived her life regularly in Spain until she reached the age of 18, where she would sign up to fight for her country. During a training exercise in 2061, the Halley's Comet flew right through the sky above her, causing her to Surge and mutating her forever. Because of such an unprecedented event, she was sent away from the Army to be experimented and studied on alongside everyone else that was affected. She would continue running regular check-ups until the year 2064, where a new monarch would instate new laws causing any Surge affected citizens to live in indiscrimination and the potential threat of being killed. For this reason, Laura defected the country and joined the mercenary company known as MET 2000. There she would participate in the Battle for Bogotá and multiple Desert Wars, amongst other battles until the year 2083, where she'd move away from the mercenary life and move to Seattle, in the United Canadian and American States. There, she would apply her skills to become a Shadowrunner to be able to afford to live in the district of Redmond.

Narrative Significant Qualities

Positive

Biocompatibility (Cyberware), Redliner: To keep herself at the top of her game without losing herself to her cyberware, she went through a couple biological adjustments.

Changeling (Class III SURGE), Broadened Auditory System (Ultrasound), Fangs, Ogre Stomach, Vomeronasal Organ: Thanks to the surge, Mirage gained various traits similar to a dog's, which benefited her positively.

Low-Light Vision, Keen-Eared: Thanks to her Nocturna birth gifts, she has better vision in the dark and a sharper sense of hearing.

Negative

Flashbacks I, Insomnia (Basic), Thousand Yard Stare 2: Due to her decades spent as a soldier, she suffers from multiple mental issues.

Cold-Blooded, Critter Spook, Unusual Hair, Vestigial Tail: After the surge changed her body, she has taken into more animalistic traits, which also causes animals to behave differently towards her.

Slow Healer: The surge also caused her body recuperate at a slower pace, making any form of healing used on her less effective.

Nocturnal, Mild Sunlight Allergy: Her Nocturna genetics cause her to be more active at night and have a mild allergic reaction to sunlight.

Appearance

Laura/Mirage is a tall, lithe Nocturna Elf, born in Spain. She has golden eyes and Royal Indigo skin. She has black, lion-like mane hair extending to beyond her shoulders, which she usually picks up into a messy French braid, to match her equally messy long bangs. She has long, pointy Dobermann-like ears which replaced her regular Elven ears during her Surge. To accompany her dog-like appearance, she has long canines and a fairly long furred tail springing from her lower back. She is not a very social person, remaining observant and usually only talking when it is required of her. Despite this, she can be very open with other soldiers, often sharing tales of the past. She came to be a Shadowrunner when she realised that she could use her skills once again to earn money- only without the same limitations as a soldier.

Sleeping Tiger Longcoat, sometimes wearing a cloak to protect her from the sunlight.
